    Get this book for a Vegan or someone wanting to try some vegan dishes

    This book is easy to use and the recipes are great, I am new to being vegan and it is not easy, but this book makes it much easier to switch
    to eating a sensible and much healthier diet. This book shows that you can shop at your regular grocery store and buy vegan foods, I still enjoy going to my favorite Harris Teeter and go to the Whole Food store when I want something special. I highly recommend this book and the authors other book THE MEDITERRANEAN VEGAN KITCHEN is also full of great recipes for vegans and non-vegans alike.

    Quick and healthy

    I got this book to go in conjuction with "Simply Vegan". It's great because you can easily find the ingredients in most grocery stores. It's also a good book to use if you are just starting a vegan diet.

    Why is the sample ebook only 10 pages?

    Impossible to evaluate this book since I'm not paying $15 sight unseen. The sample is useless.

    Very practical

    This book provides lots of great recipes! I'm vegan and my husband isn't, and this book provides recipes with ingredients that you really can find at a regular grocery store. And several of the recipes are so good that he will eat them and not even complain about not having meat!

    I had this book out of the library, and I flagged so many recipe

    I had this book out of the library, and I flagged so many recipes that I'm about to buy a copy of my own. The recipes are substantial and easy to make, and Donna Klein suggests enough variations for many of the recipes so that if you don't have all the major ingredients on hand, you can improvise easily. For example, she might suggest that cannelini or kidney beans will work as well as black-eyed peas; or she may suggest using various other kinds of vegetables, or serving something with rice or noodles to make it a main course, or sprinkling chopped nuts or slivered olives on something, and so on. I've already tried a couple of the recipes with excellent results: Chinese-Style Hot-and-Sour Rice Noodles with Snow Peas and Cucumber; and Southwestern-Style Black-Eyed Peas and Collard Greens with Rice (I used cannelini beans). And there are still more I want to try. So yes, I'll be getting my own copy. An excellent buy.

    Ebook lacking

    The ebook is missing ingredient quantities. Has formatting issues, and B & N not responding to complaint. 1st time this has happened to me, ever.

    Missing measurement amount of ing.

    On several recipes the amount of ingredients are missing. For example on page 80 for the Jamican cornbread it just says " cup milk". So how much coconut milk, 1/2 cup or 1 cup or ??
