Overview

Former cemetery tour guide and reluctant medium Pepper Martin is thrilled when she gets her job back—with a promotion. But her new position is turning out to be more than she can handle, especially with the dead clamoring for her attention…

As Garden View Cemetery’s new community relations manager, Pepper is feeling overwhelmed with planning the annual party to attract new sponsors. Luckily, some of the cemetery’s permanent residents have volunteered to give Pepper a ghostly hand, and she’s not about to turn away the help. But when a murdered ghost starts leaving puddles everywhere, Pepper quickly finds her newly acquired free time occupied.

The dead man is her ex-boyfriend Quinn’s former partner Jack Haggarty—and he isn’t going away until Pepper figures out the real reason behind his murder. And while Quinn recently had a brush with the afterlife, he still isn’t ready to accept Pepper’s abilities—or offer his skills as a detective. Now, Pepper has to convince Quinn she’s the real deal and investigate Jack’s death—before someone else meets their end in a watery grave...

Casey Daniels once applied for a job as a tour guide in a cemetery. She didn’t get the job, but she did get the idea for the Pepper Martin Mysteries. Casey learned to love mysteries early, thanks to her father, a Cleveland police detective who enjoyed Sherlock Holmes stories and spent his days off searching for stolen cars, with Casey along for the ride. Later, she read her way through every mystery on the library shelves. Casey has a degree in English and a background in journalism and teaching. She lives in northeast Ohio.

Okay, the thing that I LOVE the most about this book is Quinn! I love Quinn and that besides being sexy, he finally accepts Pepper and her "talent." It is so much fun and I get a huge kick out of Pepper's parents who are now in the picture and want to start a detective company with her. I almost fell out of my chair when Pepper learns a secret from her parents! Absolutely read! But remember to read in order!

I really enjoyed this Pepper Martin book. Gotta admit I figured out whodunit pretty early on but that did not detract from the story. Loved the ending but don't look to me to spoil it for you. Highly tecommended.

This a great addition to the Pepper Martin series. This time, instead of one ghost, she has several. all wanting something from her. Anniverserys should be so interesting. Recommended for those who like a little mystery in their mysteries!

in all I thought this was a solid addition to the series, but some of the plot elements seemed really improbable, trite and poorly thought-out and it sort of pulled me out of the story. It also seemed to me as if several running plot elements from the series were tied up, perhaps an end to the series? At any rate, plenty of ghosts, mystery, romance/angst with Quinn.

Thought it was a fun read. Although it was predictable in the sense of "who dunit" I loved the new characters that were introduced and how the series is evolving. And actually, the "who dunit" and plot is believeable - there are nutty people everywhere! EXCELLENT! Highly recommend.
