Overview

Somewhere between the first twinkling of stars in the night sky and the break of dawn, two souls from two unique worlds collide, creating an everlasting supernova.

Kerrigan Cruz and Dominic Grayson are among the chosen few who have the gift, or the curse, of being able to walk between two worlds. It is on the cusp of where these beings meet that everything changes, and life as they know it is turned upside down. Fantasy becomes reality and what shouldn't be, is.

Forced by destiny, their chance encounter is breathed to life by the one thing that can make even the most impossible of impossibilities a reality. Something so complex in nature, yet as simple as a flicker of thought to exercise. Most normal people go about their everyday lives never even suspecting its existence. But it is out there . . . it is the Light.

The universe has granted the power of the Light to a chosen bloodline charged with the responsibility of protecting our right to choose our destiny. But in the shadows, darkness wreaks havoc in the lives of the unsuspecting. Yes, another world does exist, and it holds secrets beyond what the most vivid imagination can comprehend.

Supernova: His curse. Her gift. Their destiny.

    A winner of a debut!!!

Our Review [by Michelle L. Olson – LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha]:
Supernova is a beautifully woven tapestry of storytelling, with past, present, and future threads overlapping wonderfully.

The characters, both main and supporting, are easy to attune to, making it virtually impossible not to love or hate them as C.L intended.

Kerrigan is a strong female lead who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to do whatever it takes to obtain it. She’s thrown in a world of craziness after a devastating loss and handles it like a pro.

Dominic is *sigh* the perfect guy. Tough, sensitive, virile, drop-dead-gorgeous, and not afraid to give his heart and soul to the one who deserves it.

Gabe, Kerrigan’s best friend, is the funniest character I have ever come across in a written work. He’s completely hilarious and you will find yourself needing to know what he might do or say next, but he’s also loyal to a fault, a trait endearing in itself..

The emotion of the tale was gripping and real - even in a Fantasy setting - and lent well to immersing the reader in the character’s lives and their mystery.

With just enough mystery, suspense, intrigue, romance and wit to keep you reading and wanting more, Supernova is a wonderful addition to the ranks of Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy alike.

LITERAL ADDICTION gives Supernova 4 Skulls, and would recommend it to Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy readers far and wide, and anyone who wants a fresh take on the paranormal genre.

I would have loved to have given it more than 4 Skulls, but having met, gotten to know, conversed with, and seen other written works by C.L over the past 9 months, I feel that she could have given just a little bit more in certain areas of the book. Whether or not the decision not to was hers or someone else’s I’m not sure, but what I am sure of, is that I’m dying to read Cataclysm, Book #2 of the Supernova Saga, because I have a feeling that I won’t feel this way at all with the next installment. :-)

    A Must-Read Wonderful Book :)

This is simply said "A Must-Read Wonderful Book". C.L. Parker book about Kerrigan Cruz and her untapped power is a powerful book on its own. The characters are developed slowly enough to capture your attention but not to slowly to lose your interest. The writing is well-crafted and thoughful. I look forward to more books in this particular series as well as other books from this amazing author. :)

OMG!! YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! IT IS TRULY AWESOME!

If you truly enjoy reading and if you enjoy paranormal romance, you will absolutely love this book! If you're anything like me, I can't stand filler chapters that are designed to make the book look longer. They are usually boring pages of nothingness. You won't find that in Supernova. Every page keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting to get to the next page to see what's happening nex. The story gives you twists, turns, laughter, tears and a longingness to be right there inside the story with the characters. These characters will capture your heart and draw you in and hold you captive. I can't think of anything that I've read lately that is as good as Supernova. I absolutely can't wait until the release of the second installment of the saga, "Cataclysm". Make sure you get your copy. You won't be sorry! Happy Reading!

I am a girl all about the title and cover. I know. Seems unfair, but I just can't help it. I wasn't really looking forward to reading this book for book club at all. Thank goodness the ladies that run the book club, Readers After Dark, assigned it anyways. I would have missed out on an amazing story.

I started reading the book yesterday and finished it this morning. It has just enough magic, supernatural allure. Plus, it has a romanctic side as well. All the combinations that make a great book in my option.

Of course, you will fall in love with Kerrigan and Dominic the two main characters. But... If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Kerrigan's best friend, Gabe. He is gay. He is a self proclaimed diva. He is witty. It is his nasty, witty side that will keep you laughing out loud during a story that could have had a very different undertone.

This is a book I would be willing to read again. Thank you CL Parker for my evening entertainment.

Ok, where to start?? I put off reading this book for some reason. Don't know whether I was afraid that I wouldn't like it, and disappoint my facebook friend, CL Parker, or what, but I finally just picked it up and read it. Once I started, though, I had trouble putting it down! I loved it - the feelings between Kerrigan and her grandmother touched something in me. Both of my grandmothers are gone, but I was closer to one of them, and this book reminded of that time when we were close. The love between Kerrigan and Dominic was undeniable - love at first sight was truly the lightning bolt that hit both of them when they met. Sure, there were eye-rolling moments when 'his manly scent' washed over Kerrigan, but CL has a talent for drawing a mental picture that is rare among authors. She describes the action so well that you see it like a movie... She pays attention to detail, and that comes across in every scene. It may cause a problem when the movie inspired by the series is made (no doubt that it could happen), because everyone will have a very clearly define picture of what Kerrigan and Dominic look like.

If you're putting off reading Supernova and Cataclysm for any reason, stop it! Pick up Supernova today, and enjoy the off-the-chain antics of Gabe, the over-the-top gay bestie of Kerrigan. You'll find yourself laughing out loud! This is an unusual story - unique and fresh in the world of Paranormal Romance.

CL Parker is AWESOME!! I did not want to put this book down. I laughed out loud several times, got teary-eyed a couple of times and I even fell in love. I am so thrilled to add this book to my "HAPPY AS HELL I READ" list.

You know how they say "Never Judge a Book by its Cover"

You know how they say "Never Judge a Book by its Cover" well sorry to say, but I had actually judged this book by the title. First thing I thought of when I saw "Supernova" was "I really didn't want to read a book about Aliens". I was really dreading it. After actually reading, I felt completely insane for not picking it up sooner. I was hooked from beginning to end. This is the kind of book that you put down for a little while and return to the real world, and get house chores done, but you find yourself thinking about the characters and then you say "Oh, what the hell just a few more chapters" by the time you know it, the book has ended. I really love the fact that the two main characters didnt immediately fall in love. It kept you waiting until the last few chapters. I basically laughed through out the whole book because of Gabe. He was actually my favorite character. He had me laughing so hard, people around me thought I was crazy. CL Parker has the most amazing writing skills, Ive seen thus far. You actually can relate to the terms & phrases she uses in the book. Just for the record, I will now be waiting for my Supernova Love. Lets not forget that we also have a little bit of action as well....Another 5star in my book....

Parker has created a world I want to jump into headfirst! The characters are strong, the physical descriptions unbelievably picturesque, and I was living vicariously through Kerrigan, ridding herself of an oaf of a fiance and finding a spark with Dominic, the mysterious stranger living in her Grammy's house that now belongs to her.

I adore her gay best friend, Gabe for his antics and true love for his bestie, only wanting "Kerr Bear" to be happy with whatever decisions she makes. There are unexpected twists and turns that keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next, and be sure to follow this story up with the second book in the trilogy, "Cataclysm"! Fantastically written, too! If you are a lover of J R Ward, you will love this new author as well!

Keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Autumn

Kerrigan Cruz always knew that she had a special bond with her Grandmother, Availia. But she never dreamed it was something so special.

After seeing her Grandmother die in a dream, Kerrigan awakens to find out that her dream has become reality. She decides to leave behind her structured life in Chicago to tie up her Grandmother’s affairs in St. Augustine.

Palm trees and sultry weather is not the only thing that she finds when she arrives. Her Grandmother has had an equally sultry guest taking shelter in her house in the form of Dominic Grayson. Kerrigan can’t get past the feeling that she has seen Dominic before and she knows that she can’t shake her instant attraction to him.

Dominic was saved from a fate worse than death by Availia and in return he promises to take care of her Granddaughter. He had no idea that Kerrigan was going to be so beautiful, so gifted and so hard to resist. He has a secret that he hides that could destroy everything but he will gladly sacrifice himself for Kerrigan. Even if he loses his soul in the process.

Supernova kicks off the saga in rare form and has everything that I love in a paranormal romance. It has the perfect combination of drama, comedy, angst and steamy romance. There were moments that I was swooning and then there were moments that I would laugh out loud. Kerrigan’s roommate, Gabe was both endearing and hilarious. I think every girl deserves a friend so loyal and true.

The story keeps the reader on the edge of their seat and you don’t want it to end. I highly recommend this for readers who love a paranormal romance that breaks the mold. Supernova indeed lives up to the title.
