Meet the Author

Gertrude Chandler Warner, a teacher, wrote bookss that were both easy and fun to read. This story, like the other 18 in the now-classic Boxcar Children series, which has sold over 3 million copies in paperback, features children solving problems and acting responsibly without the supervision of adults. Gertrude Chandler Warner was a lifelong resident of Putman, Connecticut, until her death in 1979 at the age of 89.

Phyllis Newman began her career as a child entertainer in vaudeville. She later gained recognition as a gifted entertainer in many Broadway productions, earning a Tony Award for her role in Subways Are For Sleeping. Phyllis also appears on television series wuch as One Life To Live and "thirtysomething".

    This book is a great classic book for any adventuros kid. with dAring andventures and mysteries the book is truly a classic read that anyone would love to read i know i do :-)

    Surprize island

    This really is a surprise island. Weird things happen like mysterious leaking roof and windows to a little yellow house or to even spending time living in a barn. This book has all the surprizes. So do you want a book thats amazing or a book like a oaf. I would choose amazing. So read this book. Also this is no scam this is a true reader saying a report. So dont think this is a person trying to sell this book.

    Book

    I loved this book! I read it many times. It is simply a lovely book. This is a wonderful series of books. Sometimes I can imagine what it is like on that island. I can'nt wait for more books to read! Other boxcar children book are fun to read too! I've read most of the books. I LOVE the boxcor children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
