I purchase children's books for my two grandsons who live in Vienna,Austria. They are five and seven. My daughter, who reads to them, wants them to experience all the American classics in addition to those the will read in Austrian schools. They boys were very excited to get their next installments of The Boxcar Children volumes two and three since they had enjoyed volume one that I sent at Christmas. I am happy to be the "book" grandmother.

Here is a small summary: Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny all go to an island. When they get there they see a yellow house. They didn't live in the house. Instead they lived in a barn. They explore the island almost every day and find something new and interesting every time. I don't want to give you anymore spoilers. You have to read for yourself what happens next.
