Okay but Not Great

Unlike most of the other reviewers, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the other ones in the series. In fact, I think it's the weakest one. The story wasn't all that original from the D/s aspect, which was covered much better in Wicked Ties, to the laughable killer-for-hire plot. I didn't really like Kata or Hunter either. I skipped through a lot of fluff to get to the good parts, only to discover that there really wasn't much left. It's obvious that the BDSM-loving Logan's story is next in the series, followed by Tyler. Hopefully, their stories will be much better.

This is an engaging erotic romance

Her friend with F-benefits Ben provides Lafayette Parrish Probation Officer Katalina "Kata" Munez with a special birthday treat; by arranging for her fantasy to occur. He asks his buddy Navy SEAL Hunter Edington to join them in a ménage a trios. They have a fantastic night together.

However, Hunter wants more from Kata without a third party. He persuades a drunken Kata into marrying him in Vegas. When she flees for her home the next morning, a raging Hunter pursues his frightened wife back to Louisiana. There he tries to convince his submissive they belong together while also trying to prevent a professional killer from murdering his spouse.

This is an engaging erotic romance starring a bullying male and a timid female. The heated story line is fast-paced once Hunter and Kata meet and never slows down. Although Kata, used to working with the meanest dregs of society, seems too docile and frightened and Hunter's late revelation on how to behave with his wife seems out of character for such a bad-ass. Erotica fans will enjoy this dominator-submissive relationship drama. It is hot read with a powerful storyline.

Surrender to Me!! Is a story with a lot of game changes for the 2 main people in the book. Hunter and Kata have a strong need to be together, even if it means kata fears hunter's controling ways. Hunter's love for Kata is to much for her to stay with him that she runs a way from him for her peace of mind. To keep the love of his life a live hunter bullies and controls every thing kata does. Hunter's need for kata to submitt to him in every way sexually, but with a killer after kata hunter will put all that counts on the line for love. The desire they have for each other will make them fight for love and the sexual desire that keeps pulling them together for Always. Read Surrender to Me, for great sex and a great battle for love.!!

OMG!!!

First time reader of Shayla's books. Loved reading it, couldn't put it down. I am going to read another one of her books just to confirm wanting to make her one of my new authors. :-)

I just do not know. Hunter is too possesive... acts like she is a child and is therefore unable to think for himself. Just do not like the main characters sso far. Bored and irritated with Hunter. Only part I have really enjoyed was with Kimber and Deke. Might keep reading to see Logan again because I love him.

Liked everything but the ending...

I found hunter very sexy and unlike the other dons he has a gentle tender side. I do not like the way the women in these books do not like the BDSM lifestyle but by the end they've totally succumbed. I'd like to see one of the male characters compromise just a little. I'm looking forward to Tyler because he's not into the Dom sub stuff.

All this being said, this author is great. She writes from the male and female point of view and the sex is hot!

I'm not into this kind of stuff.... at all. And I'm not sure what happened but I had no idea it would be what it was until I pretty well into the book. So, imagine my surprise when I liked it as much as I did. I highly recommend this, but keep in mind that it's not for the faint of heart or those easily offended. This is more for those with the mindset 'to each his own'. Sex scenes (and there are a lot of them) aside, this actually had a good story.

I just have to say that I'M IN LOVE WITH YOUR WRITING SHAYLA!I've said this before and say it now! I love how I can just read a few paragraphs and know inmediately it's a book of yours!^-^

Characters->
If you haven't read the previous Wicked Lovers series then seriously what ARE you WAITING FOR!

Hunter---this is a man that I wouldn't like to be enemmies with and be VERY MUCH friends with!!!^^ Hot, Sexy, and all muscle with a dark past that haunts him and the preference of BDSM that he's been comfortable with until----

Kata--being a latin myself I could easily picture the personality of this woman! 25 with just the exact amount of independance and freedome that all of us latins seek she's amazing and just perfect for Hunter!.

Logan(secret crush), Ben (BFF) and so many more characters that add to the plot making it all the more enjoyable!.

Plot->
As always expected from Shayla, she takes you on a journey of self acceptance in between battling the past accepting the future and of COURSE! fighting a few bad guys that want the girl really really dead...or is it the GUY in this case wanted dead?! You'll have to wait and read it!!

Loving->

Bringing you to the edge of your seat, chair, and even bed.

Believable love scenes, in wich you'll gasp, either form surprise or envy. When Hunter's in charge you DO NOT ASK, RUN, COMPLAIN, REBEL, DISCUSS, OR EVEN DENY him anything...all you have to do is say YES SIR and all your wishes are granted~sighs~ why did Kata took so much time to open her eyes I'll never know BUT remember, is always with LOVE always. No matter how hot the scene, how far Hunter pushes Kata, how hurt the both get, it's always done for and in the name & sake of LOVE.

Believe me the rate for me on hotness is of 10/10

so there you go...I'll make this hotness rating from now on for my next adult/erotic reviews!!^^ hope you liked it and was helpfull...remember I don't like to give away much from the books I review so I really think this is a free-spoiler review.

OH! almost forgot. In case you haven't read the Wicked Lovers series don't panick!!! this is completely -stand alone- but I'd highly recommend you the reading of the other books!

Too much repeating, Grrrr

But, I really did enjoy this book. By the 5th time I'm told how a character feels and why they behave a certain way...I get it. By the 27th time, which is highly unessesary then...I'm annoyed!! Yet...that's the only thing negative I can say. The storyline was great. Loved the main characters. Shayla always entertains me with her STEAMY love scenes and fantastic banterings - and - I LOVE men sharing 1 woman!!

CAPTIVATING

This book was awesome. The scenes were heart wrenching. You could feel the characters pain and happiness. I found myself nervous at times and other times clenching my chest from the love the characters had for one another. Although im not into this kind of love making, it was very interesting. The love scene when Kata was confined while her man ate her out. STEAMY!!!! You must read this book, it was hard to put down. ENJOY!! RW33

Hunter and Kata are a powerful - interesting couple. He is Navy Seal and she is Parole officer and there is someone after Kata and Hunter is being the powerful and loving man who protects his wife against the danger she is facing. There is a wonderful and sizzling bedroom scenes that want to make you to reread them and you are imaging yourself in the scene. This a great fourth book in the wicked lovers series.
