A quick, reasonably short and fast-paced read that introduces the Woods Family and their Tree Farm in the state of Texas. A touch of danger for the heroine in the story, as no single woman is allowed to visit or stay at the Woods properties, the patriarch is in need of legal assistance and the lawyer that is sent is newly disengaged Mikaela, providing another twist to the story.

The Woods are all mountain lion shifters, dominant in the bedroom and out of it, with a tenuous hold on their animal sides. Naturally, one of the sons is enamored of Mikaela, and after several very steamy encounters, the need to reveal secrets and share is upon them…

Most certainly an 18+ series, the short, quick, action-packed pacing and freewheeling bantering dialogue is certain to please both romance and paranormal fans. Although the characters are drawn and defined relatively quickly, as the story progresses they develop more fully and the secrets they conceal and the wish to know more becomes an overwhelming need for readers and characters alike.

Most certainly a worthwhile read that won’t occupy multiple days as the stories are relatively short with a pacing that defies you to put it down.

I previously had purchased a copy of this book prior to the opportunity to review for the Jeep Diva reviews. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Mikaela Patterson is a heartbroken lawyer determined to keep her pain private and use work to help her cope.  She embarks on a previously agreed upon assignment to help draw up contracts for a family while living and working on their property.  What Mikaela doesn't know is that  four sexy, hot mountain lion shifters with an inability to contain themselves around unmated women make up the family around which she will be working and staying.

The action begins when Mikaela arrives and doesn't stop until the very end.  Josh and Mikaela have an instant connection and the sex play begins the first day she arrives.  I liked that--no waiting, game playing, or baiting.  When Mikaela announced she was no longer engaged at the dinner table the author did a masterful job of describing her reaction when four brothers turned to four mountain lions.  It felt just like you were in the room, and the reaction was so realistic I was immediately captivated and laughed out loud at myself.  I had to remind myself that this is a paranormal novel, and I had to continue to remind myself as I read on through this novel.  That's one of the things I absolutely loved is that I could really invite myself into this story.  The characters were so familiar and easy to identify with that I really felt genuine emotions as I read the story.

Mikaela was absolutely fearless and provoked Josh to mate with her.  I was almost cheering--way to go Mikaela.  Josh was so considerate of Mikaela and so hot.  He really knew his way around a woman's body..Whew!!!!  They have their happily ever after and but for the fact that there was another book I would have been saddened beyond comprension.

This was an awesome book.  I loved the competitive, loyal, loving nature of Josh and his family.  The brothers helped to defuse situations that could possibly lead to the death of another brother in the name of love.  I also loved how much they adored their father and obeyed him.  Get the entire series.  You won't be sorry.

A really good book that had a different spin of the shifters most of us know. it was a little too fast paced for me because it is a short book. it had great characters you love, and amazing passion with the same twist on what we think we know about shifter. Mandy is the Queen of amazing twists. everything i've read of hers has been amazing.
get this book if you are in the mood for a quick story with hot bedroom (and shower) scenes, dominant men, and a sassy girl who isn't afraid to get in the face of any growling man!

Holy crappola!!! I have only read two other is Ms Harbins books so wasn't sure what to expect!! I free along loved it!!!!

Mikaela has just dumped her ass of a fiancé after catching him with his bit on the side. Her boss asks her to go and take care of a few estate matters for the Woods family. The only catch...she has to be attached. She hasn't told anyone about dumping Joel yet so goes anyway

On arriving she is drawn to the oh so panty meltingly hit Josh, the eldest son. No spoilers here but there is lots of passion and I loved the shifters - new ones on me mountain lions!!!

This was a new genre for my from Ms Harbins other works which I have read. New take on the shifters and I loved how they tried to protect her, even from themselves. I may have a not so secret crush on Mr Woods Snr!!!

    My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover is beautiful!!  I’d take Josh and his cat anyday ;)

This is an adult book due to the sexual content and scenes which were very steamy.

I’ve had this book for more than a year, and I’m not sure why I didn’t read it sooner.  This is my first time reading Mandy’s work, and it is definitely not my last.  This book surprised me because normally I want action not just dating or sexual drama, but Mandy did a phenomenal job of pulling me into the story and not letting go.  I know it says this book is around 75 pages, but it felt much fuller a story than 75 pages and I have no idea how she managed it but awesome!!! :)

Mikaela is an awesome female lead because she strong and quick witted and is excellent with her banter.  I was definitely laughing out loud several times when her and Josh were having words.  Josh is strong, sexy, and very devious which I love :)

Mandy’s shifter world is more like cats in the wild which is really cool and makes it a unique twist for what I’ve read thus far.  Of course I didn’t want it to end, so now I want more!!!  It is a good thing I have book 2 as part of a bundle shifter set I bought!!!  YAY!!!

I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves shifter reads and being free it is a great way to get to know this author’s work!!!

This took a little bit to grow on me. In the beginning I was turned off by the neanderthal attitude of the men, something that is quite common in paranormals. The author did a good job of showing both sides of the lead male though and I was soon rooting for the couple to get together. Kinda a different society than most shifter stories, but I like how the author stayed true to the nature of big cats, even if it made the men come off a bit barbaric. Might continue this series if I get the chance, would be interesting to see all the brothers find mates.

    Worth it

Not the best writing - a little too much unnecessary explanation at points - but a good story, and satisfying.

I truly loved this book. It kept my attention and I did not want to put it down. Josh and Mikaela had great chemistry and some smokin hot sex. I can't wait to read more of this series.
I would have given this book a 5* rating but it got kind of cheesy at the end.

    Ok

Really a smutty book with no real plot. It had a lot of potential as far as a possible storyline with shifters, a broken engagement, ex that wants her back, other shifters that need mates, etc. But it ended up falling short, just a quick smut read with no depth.

Having just finished this book, I must say it is one of the most intriguing Books I have read. Most shifters are able to control their mating urge. For some reason that is not the case here. Please read the book to find out what happens. The book does contain explicit language and sex scenes.

Fast read. This story jumps *right* into the bedroom. About 3 pages in, Josh has his hands down Mikaela's pants...And the story jumps *right* into the ending. There's neither slow build-up nor slow release which is a bit disconcerting.

The sex was hawt...but the rest kinda felt wishy-washy. Weak backstory, weak characters, weak build-up, weak dialogue. Not sure whether sex can be a story's sole saving grace...
