Very sad but makes you appreciate your life after reading how others have suffered!!

My parents are from Cambodia but only my mom had to suffer under the Khmer Rouge regime. My father was in the Navy and was already on a boat when the Khmer Rouge took over the capital. There wasn't enough of them to fight so they had to flee. My husbands family also suffered under the Khmer Rouge. Reading stories like this help me to remember how fortunate I am and to pray for the souls of my ancestors. Both my parents lost family during the war. This year I will be making my first trip to Cambodia! I will pray for all the people who died and suffered during those times. Thank you to the people who told their stories. Thank you for making me a humble person and for being more appreciative for what I have. The grammer may not be so great but it's the story behind the words that matter the most. No matter if you know anyone who suffered or not, you have to respect the fact that these people are reliving their pain and suffering to tell you the truth and how much hate and ignorance there is in the world.
