    Simply Brilliant

A truly inspiring book that has shown me the value of oneself no matter what circumstance or situation. This book will make you stronger as an individual, but also make you realize the importance of family and friends, and even past loved ones who have left nothing but painful memories. "Surviving Steven" is the story of a young man who is banished to the wilderness with only basic resources and his sanity to last him what seems like forever in an empty desert. Well-written and well-documented, a must-read for anyone finding his or herself - Ven Rey is undoubtedly one of the brightest authors of his generation. You MUST read it!

The title rings true throughout the pages on many different levels, open up the book and read it to find out why

Surviving Steven is an excellent true journal of a young man who is trying to find his way and by his family's tough love he is sent to wilderness camp where his journey into his self begins. So open and honest of a book with real journal entries that paint real situational portraits of life living with a troubled teen and the perspective of that teen to where it hit so close to home for me in some family matters we were and still are going through. A real journey and eye opening book. I highly recommend investing the time reading Ven Rey's book Surviving Steven.
