BEFORE HOSTEL...BEFORE SAW..THERE WAS SURVIVOR...

It was supposed to be a romantic weekend getaway. Lisa was looking forward to spending time alone with her husband-and telling him that they are going to have a baby. Instead, it becomes a nightmare when her husband is arrested and Lisa is kidnapped.

But the kidnappers aren't asking for ransom. They want Lisa herself. They're going to make her a star-in a snuff film. What they have in mind for Lisa is unspeakable. They plan to torture and murder her as graphically and brutally as possible, and to capture it all on film. If they have their way, Lisa's death will be truly horrifying...but even more horrifying is what Lisa will do to survive...

Deadite Press is proud to present the classic hardcore horror novel by J. F. Gonzalez. Now a new generation of readers will ask - how far would you go to survive?

After reading the prologue, I was pulled in right away. Mr. Gonzalez really has a great writing style in every novel he writes and keeps the horror coming! Two thumbs up!

I have never read anything like J. F. Gonzalez's Survivor. There were times I actually thought of putting this book down and walking away (Chapter 17), but I couldn't do it. The story is so compelling, the danger so real, and the characters so believable, that I had to keep reading to the bitter end. I write horror for a living, and I thought I had seen it all. I was wrong. The villains in this novel are the vilest and most horrific creatures ever conceived. 'Animal' alone will give you nightmares for the rest of your life. Survivor disgusted me, enthralled me, and it actually made me cry. If you have a taste for real terror, and a very strong stomach, you must experience it for yourself!

This was a stomach-churning read, the most horrifying and disturbing novel I've ever read. Yes, it was gory, but I don't think it was as over-the-top as some other horror novels I've read. The gore in this novel fit the subject matter. Basically, this is a novel not for the sensitive or for young readers at all. It definitely makes you think about our own base instincts for survival and how far we'd go to protect and saved ourselves or our loved ones. This was probably the most disturbing part of the book. Highly recommended for those with strong resolves and stomachs!

I really hated to give this book such a poor rating, because the story itself was good,HOWEVER, it was much to graphic and way to gruesome. Although I know there are these kinds of perverts out there its still hard to read about it. Mr Gonzalez had a good story but the graphics ruined it.

This my first book by this author. It is a really brutal and raw book. A story of how far one person would go though in order to save her own life. Over 950 pages long, this noval moves fast. A few twists and suprises. The ending was a little suprising. Now, on to the next noval by this author ( The Retreat)

Well written but vile situations bring down the review. Would have been higher if the author would have censored some content!
