SERIES DESCRIPTION:
Six young tech-savvy hackers and coders break into Long Island's Gameland, a once-militarized wasteland that has been abandoned to the Infected Undead for over a decade. Now reclaimed by a megalithic corporation with deep ties to the government, Gameland has been turned into live-action virtual reality survival gaming arcade. But while breaking into The Game is a lot easier than they could ever have imagined, breaking back out ends up being one hell of a killer.

EPISODE 3: Deadman's Switch
Unable to escape from Long Island because of the failsafe device implanted inside their brains, the group digs in until they can devise a way to neutralize it. Jessie is anointed as their leader despite Jake's claims that she is unfit. A final desperate attempt is made to leave, setting into motion a sequence of events that will result in one of them dead, another infected, and all of them running for their lives.

Episode 3 approximately 52,000 words (roughly 190 pages)

EPISODE 4: Sunder the Hollow Ones

A mutiny in the group splits the members, leaving Jessie out in the cold. As she continues to struggle to fulfill her promise to bring everyone safely home, a chance encounter with one of Gameland's residents dredges up deeply buried memories, leaving her feeling haunted and doubtful about her future.

Episode 4 approximately 44,000 words (roughly 160 pages)

Editorial Reviews

Amazon - Nick Mayfield
This book is a great read. I read the free episode when it was on sale and I was hooked. I have read all 4 episodes that are currently available. This book will keep you glued to it until it is finished. I am eagerly awaiting next months episode. I highly recommend this book to fans of zombie movies and television shows. I liked it so much each episode I read is completed that day. At my pace that is about 3-4 hours of reading.
Goodreads - M. Nicholas
For all of you contemplating this book, I say, buy it now. The book will be updated each month until all 8 episodes are delivered, similar to a tv show that has new episodes. I am hooked and cannot wait for the next installment.
Goodreads - Lori Parker
Because of the tv show layout of this book, the zombies aren't the starring cast. The rag tag computer hacking, video game playing, and tresspassing teenagers are. The zombies aren't even the main enemy. They are more or less a tool used by the enemy. This story takes place 15 years after a major zombie outbreak.
Goodreads - May WAter
I really got sucked into this book despite being scared during the last half of it. Kind of like when you squint while watching a horror movie. Since I am basically a teenager at heart, I loved the characters. This author has a true gift of not only storytelling, but of speaking in the ageless voice of the young.
Amazon - T. Jeffries
I've read the first three chapters and am having a great time. I like the characters and the fact that I've been "creeped out" a lot. I am really excited to download the next section.

Meet the Author

eFiction magazine calls Saul an author armed with "a PhD and a whacked out sense of humor."

Saul spent his formative years in a leaky century-old house overlooking the Erie Canal in Upstate New York. His bedroom was a refurbished attic, which he shared with all manner of creatures, not all, he is convinced, flesh and blood.

After bouncing around the US and Europe for several years, he settled down to pursue a career in the sciences, opting to study the mysteries of human molecular genetics. But even positions as an experimental biologist, teacher, manager and biotech entrepreneur couldn't keep him from his true passion as a storyteller.

He now writes speculative fiction full time from his home in the San Francisco Bay Area. Although his house is now attic-less and waterproof, he continues to be haunted by a variety of creatures, including a wife, kids, four dogs, three cats, six chickens, a wayward rooster, and one very grumpy possum. They are all flesh and blood.

Except, maybe, for the possum, which he's convinced is the reincarnated spirit of Jack Torrance.
