to an old subject! Stephen Flynn writes in a style completely his own and captures the reader within the first few pages. Tom Brenton is in a coma but the hospital he's in is a lab on one of Saturn's moons. His conciousness is kept in his near-dead wife's body and he is reliving his life in a series of dreams. From the time he was a child, playing in the swamp and discovered the mist, he imagined it was real. Then, many years later, he returned home as an adult, and found out he wasn't imagining its intelligence. Throughout the book there are many subtle twists and turns that keep you on your toes. I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable and a real page-turner. I can't wait for the sequel.
