Overview

French billionaire Max Dantes never expected to spend his Saturday night at a sex-partner swap meet in one of Houston's swankiest hotels. When smoking-hot firefighter Chris Collins hits on Max, his night takes an even more unexpected turn. Soon he's pinned to a mattress beneath the sexiest specimen of raw masculinity he's ever seen . . . and questioning everything he's ever believed about himself.

Chris went to the swap meet looking for a fling but finds so much more. Soon Max is treating him to the kind of luxuries only a billionaire can offer. But when Max wants something more than an illicit tryst, Chris bolts. He's just not ready for that kind of commitment or the potential consequences-and prejudices-of going public.

Or is he? But by the time Chris realizes his mistake, it just might be too late.

    Hot Read

originally posted at: www.whippedcream2.blogspot.com ***** A one night stand opens Max's eyes to a whole new world, one he really likes. Billioniare Max Dantes meets firefighter Chris Collins at a swinger's party. Although Max has never been with a guy before, the chemistry with Chris is so explosive he can't help himself. Giving in to his desires and great sex, Max decides that one night with Chris isn't enough. Yet down-to-earth Chris feels like a fish out of water in Max's high flying, wealthy world. Not to mention in the testorone filled world of fire fighting, Chris is not out to his co-workers. The odds may be stacked against these two but hot sex and enough desire could overcome anything.

Swap Meet has a pretty clichéd plot. For fans of Harlequin type romances, you'll recognize all the elements used here quickly. There is Max's wealth and Chris' middle class status. Add in the twist of the new gay couple and coming out to friends, family, and co-workers to keep the tension going but other than that, this story reads very familiar and predictably. That's not bad if you have an interest in the characters or enjoy formulaic romances, because the plot offers nothing particularly eye catching or surprising.

The characters are decent though and really the story tries to cover any problems by including hot sex and a lot of it. There is a ton of steamy, exciting erotica thrown in which may help readers see this as a light story of sex, romance, and a happy ending. It's probably not a story you'd read again as nothing helps make it stand out, but it's also a quick, easy story that's perfect for a fast beach read on a hot afternoon.

I liked reading Swap Meet for the sex, the familiar characters, and the quick pace. The writing focuses on the strengths, the characters and sex scenes. It sticks close to tried and true areas that romance fans are likely to enjoy. If you're looking for something easy and entertaining for a quick read, this will suit your tastes.
