Margaret Haddix

Margaret Peterson Haddix is the author of many critically and popularly acclaimed YA and middle-grade novels, including The Missing series and the Shadow Children series. A graduate of Miami University (of Ohio), she worked for several years as a reporter for The Indianapolis News. She also taught at the Danville (Illinois) Area Community College. Obert Skye was born on a stormy night in the back of a fast-moving taxi. Obert spends his time telling all who will listen about the existence of Foo and the importance of dreams.     I expected it to be different.

    THis isn't actually a novel, it's a collection of samples from a lot of books. On the plus side, it shows you some pretty neat books, but it cuts them off at exciting parts and has you go buy them. Overall, the stories it tells are pertty good.
