This is the best book on the market for basic as well as advanced level training techniques and programs. SWAT Fitness has it all - strength, aerobic, anaerobic, flexibility, and rehabilitative training. As a former collegiate athlete and current SWAT cop, I highly recommend SWAT Fitness to anyone interested in an advanced level of physical fitness. It is OUTSTANDING!!!!

After reading the book I feel as if I wasted money on my anatomy text book, as well as wasted money on a personal trainer. It answered all my questions and was easy to follow. The pictures made it that much simpler to replicate the exercises outlined by the routines. If you want a book that delivers results I definitely recommend SWAT Fitness!!! Good luck with the workouts and Merry Christmas.

In response to Chris' review of this book I have two subject topics to cover. First, it's sad to see a fellow law enforcement officer use that kind of language for all to see and judge police officers by. Second, it's sad he didn't get the true meaning behind the book. This book can enlighten any member of the law enforcement community on how to safely and properly train. As a former strength coach at both the professional and collegiate level, I have introduced this book to every member of my department with great success. I applaud Matt and Stuart for putting together one of the best fitness books I have ever seen. I highly recommend this book to any member of the law enforcement community. We as police officers can increase our career longevity by being in the best possible physical condition. This book lays it all out for any officer to follow, its up to the officer to see how far he can push himself. One last thing to remember, all the police officers I know and work with don't look at themselves as 'athletes', we get paid to be good cops!

As a SWAT cop and competitive athlete, I have read numerous fitness books. 'SWAT Fitness' is the best fitness book around! By following the nutritional guidelines and suggested training programs, my physique as well as performance have already improved. The book covers information necessary to achieve the 'next level' with advanced training concepts. I highly recommend 'SWAT Fitness' for not only SWAT officers, but also for anyone interested in improved fitness or competitive sports.

This book is bull#@%$. If you have even an elementary knowledge of fitness, don't waste your money. I figured this book would be THE ONE....the book that would finally put together a quality tactical training program for law enforcement/special operations athletes. This book, like every other one on the market, gave a basic introduction to excercise and fitness. It dispayed in detail how to perform a lat-pulldown and bench press. GOD help you if you are on a tactical team and don't know how to perform a simple barbell squat!! I am extremely disappointed with this product and would never recommend it to anyone.
