About the Author

Authors Eric J. Salomonsson, William O. Hultgren, and Philip C. Becker are active members of the local Swedish American community. Salomonsson is president of the Swedish National Federation, a board member of the Swedish Cemetery Corporation, and past chairman of Nordic Lodge No. 611 of the Vasa Order of America. Hultgren is a founding member of Nordic Heritage Trust and a member of Nordic Lodge No. 611 and the Swedish National Federation. Becker is past chairman of Nordic Lodge No. 611 and the Massachusetts District No. 2 Historian of the Vasa Order.
