I enjoyed the first book in the series. This one, not so much. The basic story was fine, but there was entirely too much unnecessary profanity. It did nothing but detract from the experience. Average at best.

Meh. The characters were so shallow, it was difficult to feel any empathy for Payton; she had as much depth and maturity as a two year old.  Except a two year old has better manners.  I didn't find Jack's character attractive at all; he's supposed to be a professional, thirty five year old man, but he is so busy  stalking a young woman  who's only  attribute seems to be her stripper-esque looks. She's abrasive, abusive and masochistic-- and not in a good way. It's hard to feel sorry for her--and impossible to respect her at all. This could have been a nice little story, but it seemed like the author wasn't sure if she wanted to write a thriller, a love story, erotica or a comedy. Just too many elements jumbled together. the writer may have promise, but it just doesn't shine through here. I hope she keeps trying to improve her skills, but I won't be paying to read any more of her work.

Read both books and they were both good. Waiting for next one. Both books were full length and were good reads.

This was a good follow-up story. Like the author can't wait to read more.

I like the fact the story has an ending and does not leave you hanging. Will look for the 3rd installment.

Payton's character wasn't one I could enjoy. Her coping mechanisms, yes, those I understood. But the hair-pulling with another woman at a bar and childish restaurant tantrum in another scene makes two-year-olds seem mature by comparison. Jack's character didn't sem 35 to me, more like 21.

Not a bad book, better then the first for sure but a little excessive w/the amount of sex they have. I'm all for a good sex scene but quality over quantity and be a little realistic about it. By the end I was rolling my eyes at parts, like really, she's wet again? It's been 35 seconds! IDK, maybe I'm just jealous LOL
