Overview

You would expect friends who have played golf and poker together for 55 years
to have much in common, but they're different...some more different than others.
So it's like The Odd Couple--only there are seven of them;
so it's like The Magnificent Seven--only odder.
In the time of pandemic, civil unrest and shrinking glaciers, Fuller presents memories
that he promises will put you to sleep. To sleep, perchance to dream of better times,
and maybe to give you the hope and determination to approach that next tee box of life
without fear of shooting another triple bogey.
Not merely a collection of humorous golf lessons,
his memories complement selected classroom anecdotes from 45 years as a teacher.
Anecdotes that show a teacher who learned as much, or more, from his students as he taught them.
He just needed to listen to the right voices.

About the Author

Tom Fuller taught high school English in Elk River, Minnesota, from 1969-2014. At one time or another, he was a play director, Speech Team coach, Writers' Club and Knowledge Bowl advisor, Coordinator of The Gifted and Talented Program and AP Testing Coordinator. Way back in the 1980s his play The Spirit of Christmas: The Story of Ernestina Scrooge was published by Dramatic Publishing.
And he maintained lifelong friendships with a group of guys who loved to play golf and poker.
