One of the best detective novels ever set in New York. The concept of the two murder victims whose heads are switched is breathtaking. Not to be missed!

I enjoyed this book and went on to read the nest two books in the Janek series. For those too young to recall, it also spawned a TV series years ago. I confess I never watched it. Now I'm sorry.

Switch is a classic police story set in late 1970s New York. Janek is a character who's easy to root for and the story is nicely complex and psychological. I had read it years ago and was thrilled to see it available for my Nook. I bought the entire series.

This was a different book...different take on a psychological murder/detective story. The characters are deep & very likeable & i love the setting of nyc. It deelves deep into the detectives mind & how he solves this crime...i just wish there had been more about the killer from his perspective & more suspense but it was a great read nonetheless.

This is an exciting read to say the least. Because of its "not a moment wasted" exciting pace, I'm sleep-deprived & stand accused of spousal abandonment (rightly so). I loved the storyline of the side-by-side cases, the cast of characters & being in Janek's head as he worked it all out.
I'm so ready for the 2nd Janek book & was a bit disappointed to read in the "post-mortem" Q&A that there are only 3. :-(
