Meet the Author

Alex Morgan was born and raised in western Oklahoma. He majored in chemistry in college and moved to Dallas to get his master’s degree. He worked for an environmental laboratory as a technician and then for a carbon black manufacturer as a laboratory manager. After that, he obtained his doctorate in analytical chemistry. He now lives in the Baltimore area.

He has been an avid reader, particularly mysteries, after being introduced to the Hardy Boys in grade school. After reading his first Agatha Christie novel, Murder on the Orient Express, in junior high, mysteries have been one of his biggest enjoyments. He has always enjoyed reading comic books and loves the super-hero genre just as much.

Combining these two concepts, he has written three mystery novels introducing gay, paranormal sleuth Corey Shaw. Under the pen name Alan Scott, he has written a novel continuing the paranormal detective series with “Inside Passage to Murder” and the forthcoming “A Faire Day for Murder.” He is also the author of several gay erotica short stories
*****
Jon Michaelsen writes fiction mystery, suspense/thriller and romance novels whose main characters are gay. While this doesn't define or limit his characters, it does provide opportunities for exciting plots. Many diverse writers have influenced his style over the years; among them are ever popular David Baldacci, John Grisham and Michael Crichton, to groundbreaking novelists Patricia Nell Warren, Michael Nava and Felice Picano.

Born in the deep South in Columbus, Georgia along the banks of the Chattahoochee River, he moved with his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the late 60s and where he remains today. He studied English and Journalism at Gainesville College in north Georgia before transferring to Valdosta State College near the Florida border to finish out his studies. While at Valdosta, he edited for the college newspaper’s Entertainment page, wrote features and published a few of his short stories in the campus rag.

His novella, False Evidence: Murder Most Deadly I received great reviews in 2012 and his speculative romance novella, Prince of the Sea, is expected later this year. His debut mystery novel featuring a closeted Atlanta homicide detective investigating the brutal murder of a young, male stripper, Pretty Boy Dead is set to release in late summer 2013 from Wilde City Press.
