David V. Thiel, a chartered professional engineer, is the director, Radio Science Laboratory, School of Microelectronic Engineering at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Thiel received his Ph.D. in electromagnetics, and M.Sc. in antenna design and modeling at James Cook University, Townsville, Qld Australia. He earned his B.Sc. in physics and applied mathematics at the University of Adelaide in South Australia. Stephanie Smith, a member of IEEE, is an antenna engineer, Electromagnetics and Antenna Group, CSIRO Telecommunications and Industrial Physics in New South Wales, Australia. She received her Ph.D. and B. Engineering from Griffith University
