    Wonderful Comic

Sword of Sorcery is pretty much everything I'm looking for in a comic book: not dark, but not written for children, consistent premise, and art that isn't cartoonish.
The end is fast paced, but that's because the authors had to wrap up the series sooner than planned. Thankfully DC gave them the opportunity to do so.
Also, SoS doesn't follow the standard 'hero rises on own' plot line. The hero is brought into an existing story and her mother is as much of a hero as anyone is ever going to be. This is not a cookie cutter plot line.

In spite of DC's cancellation of this series Amethyst is an amaz

In spite of DC's cancellation of this series Amethyst is an amazing read! The story features very strong female characters in a well-thought out, detailed fantasy world. Unlike most of the run-of-the-mill female comic book characters around, Amethyst is not a superhero comic. It's very unique, very well written, and very well drawn. DC really screwed up by canceling this series! I wish they had enough sense to realize what a mistake they made.
