Overview

"Help her," insists the spirit of Kip, the jock from her old school who died in a car accident. But his cryptic message is the last thing on Sabine's mind as she packs up to move back home. She's not happy about leaving her friends, her boyfriend, and Nona who's gravely ill, but won't dare challenge her mother's orders. Besides, Sabine's also harboring hope that she can become close to her family again.

Reuniting with her fencing club brings back painful memories of getting kicked out of school and betrayed by her former best friend Brianne, now too entangled with her boyfriend to notice Sabine . . . unlike Kip's ghost who continues to nag her about someone in trouble. But Kip died alone, so who needs her help? As Sabine researches the events of that tragic night, she pieces together a shocking revelation-knowledge that leads to a dangerous duel with a surprising foe.

Meet the Author

With plots involving twins, cheerleaders, ghosts, psychics and clones, Linda Joy Singleton has published over 25 midgrade and YA books.

When she's not writing, she enjoys life in the country with a barnyard of animals including horses, cats, dogs and pigs. She especially loves to hear from readers and speaking at schools and libraries. She collects vintage series books like Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden and Judy Bolton.

When Linda is asked why she'd rather write for kids than adults, she says, "I love seeing the world through the heart of a child, where magic is real and every day begins a new adventure. I hope to inspire them to reach for their dreams. Writing for kids is a gift, a responsibility, and an honor."

    a Great Series Continues

this is the third book in the Seer series. these books are really good. The bad thing is that the last book doesn't come out until August 2007. The books always have fantasy, drama, romance, and interesting characters and situations. I recommend them to young women in their teens to early twenties.

    Wonderful

A must read! It captivates you from the first page all the way to the last (which leaves at a mighty cliff hanger). And, alas, there is a fifth book coming out in August!

a book lover, depending on what it's about

This was a really great installment for the seer series. The ending was completely shocking. Loved that Sabine finally somewhat admits to herself about the chemistry her and Dominic have, they seem perfect for eachother, they understand eachother and have a lot more in common then her and her boyfriend who I hope she dumps in the next book. Hope there is a part 5, but I'm guessing there will be another one because of the way it ended. The series gets better and better by each installment.

    A Must Read

This book was a wonderful addition to the The Seer collection, I seriously hope there is another one. All the other problems, and conflicts that are going on need to be explained. These books are wonderful. The whole storyline is outstanding. It's awesome, if you haven't read these, you need too.

You have GOT to read this one!

Sabine Rose is upset that her mother is making her move away from Nona and all her friends in Sheridan Valley. Sabine does not want to return to San Jose. Yes, it will be nice to see her sisters, who are twins, and her father however, she does not care to be near her mother or the gossiping people at Arcadia High that actually had a petition made up to have her forced out of the school. There were over one hundred names on the petition, including her best friend's, Brianne. So going bad is not a cheery thought. It is made worse when the spirit of Kip Hurst shows up in her bedroom the night before she is due to leave. Kip died six months ago in a car wreck on prom night, shortly after he dropped his girlfriend off at home. Sabine tried to save Kip by telling him of her vision. When he died, everyone began whispering and blaming her! Now Kip is asking Sabine to 'help her'. Problem with that is that Kip did not say WHO she was to help. ................ Sabine is giving out candy on Halloween when Mr. Landreth, her fencing instructor, shows up at her door. He wants Sabine to get back into fencing, even though Sabine clearly states that she does not want to. Sly and persistent Mr. Landreth soon has her agreeing to help him teach beginners. The famous fencing club, known as the Foils, comes back into her life. Sabine used to be in the club, before she left for Nona's home. The only really tough one to see again is Brianne. ................ Ashley and Amy, her twin sisters, believe Kip wants Sabine to help his younger sister, Lucretia, out. Sabine believes that Kip wants her to help his ex-girlfriend, Aileen, out. At the same time, Dominic drives up from Sheridan Valley with a lead to locating the fourth and final charm that could help save Nona. Looks like time is the one thing Sabine does not have any more. The part that hurts Sabine the most though is that her boyfriend, Josh, had promised to drive up every weekend to spend time with her however, he has not. ................ ***** An excellent addition to the 'Seer' series. Looks like things are beginning to wrap up for Sabine and those around her, in Sheridan Valley AND in San Jose. The next book may the final one. So keep an eye on the author's web site for any new updates. As for me, I could not put the book down. I began reading it in the morning and did not stop until the last page had been read. The author added in some startling twists too! My jaw almost hit the floor at one point. This is a MUST READ during your Summer Vacation! *****

    Awesome...Thank God

I just read this book today. It is in stiff competition with the first one for the best of them all so far, but i ended this book in peace, because before it came out i thought it was the last of The Seer, but the way it ended definitely answered that question with the answer i wanted. Well i now know that The Seer isnt over just yet, such a shame she didnt leave the title for the next book or give us it's first chapter.
