Jane Carver, a hell-raising, redheaded biker chick from Coral Gables, Florida, had found a new life and love on Waar, a savage planet of fearsome creatures and swashbuckling warriors. Until the planet’s high priests sent her back to Earth against her will.

But nobody keeps Jane from her man, even if he happens to be a purple-skinned alien nobleman.

Against all odds, she returns to Waar, only to find herself accused of kidnapping the Emperor’s beautiful daughter. Allying herself with a band of notorious sky-pirates, Jane sets out to clear her name and rescue the princess, but that means uncovering the secret origins of the Gods of Waar—and picking a fight with the Wargod himself.

Good thing Jane is always up for a scrap . . .

Swords of Waar is the wildly entertaining sequel to Jane Carver of Waar, and continues the raucous adventures of science fiction’s newest and most bad ass space heroine.

    Entertaining Sequel

This is a great follow up to "Jane Carver Of Waar." Lots of action and smart ass commentary from Jane. But what I really like is the growth and changing dynamics of Jane and Lhan's relationship. There are some incredibly tender moments between the two. And even when he is being a stubborn putz and an ass, Lhan is pretty damn lovable. Makes me wish that I had my own little purple dude to love on!!

I cannot wait for the next installment in what is turning into a quirky and favorite series for me.

A great adventure with an unusual love story .

I am so glad that the first tale, Jane Carver of Waar was a free Friday selection otherwise I never would have given this sseries a try. Are two books enough to be a series? Anyway, the plots were fast and the characters enjoyable. Not a"chick book" but definity a story that will appeal to both genders. I certainly hope there is a triagy.

    Excellent follow up book

Awesome sequel, as fast and fun as the first book. Hoping that there will be one more installment. Jane develops as a character along with her relationship. The rest of the cast receive some more character depth while being fun entertaining.

Eh-h-h-h Not as good as the first one

B & N doesn't allow me to use the three letter word that ends in _ _ x, but this book just has way too much of it. I thought the first book was a very, very good read, but this one just didn't quite cut it. Would I read another one of Nathan Long's, sure!
