Ciardis Weathervane is facing a war on two fronts. One with the dragons. One with the deities.

She is ready to face the god that they’ve known was coming for months, but the people that she thought would coalesce around her are faltering under the pressure, the lies, and the deceit.

She knows that the very foundation between ruler, nobility, and commoner had fractured down to its core. Now the capital city and its people need to be reforged, bound in fire before they’re consumed by brimstone.

But the citizens of the empire need more than a speech to believe in the rulers that betrayed them just days before. With their empire on the line, Sebastian lays out his first ruling edict which may be more than even he bargained for.

As Sandrin comes together once more before the final struggle, the daemoni prince is struck down and the princess heir-in-waiting has doubts as to whether they can forge a more perfect union without the one that completes their souls.

With Thanar trapped in purgatory while they fight to resurrect the city that gave them life—Ciardis and Sebastian are in a battle to the death against a god bent on living forever.

I purchased Courtlight Book # 9 Sworn to War. When I go to My Library it shows the correct book. When i click on it, it open to the wrong book. The book that opens is Courtlight Book # 8 Sworn to Sovereignty.

I loved it!! I really liked Ciardis's love affair between Sebastian and Thanar!! (I'm leaning more towards Thanar xD)

Couldn't put it down. Am now getting the next book. This Is a great series. Even though the books were spread apart it was easy to follow the action and the story flowed so nicely from one installment to the next. Off to start book 9. Can't wait.

Another amazing instalment to this series! I received an ARC copy for an honest review and am here to say that this book kept me on the edge of my seat!! You will be sent on an emotional rollercoaster and not knowing who to trust. As we watch the fate of Ciardis, Sebastian, and Thanar continue to play out you will experience every possible emotion. And in her typical style Terah once again leaves us with a cliff hanger. I await the next book eagerly!

Sworn to War is nonstop right out of the gate. Ciardis, Sebastian, and Thanar confront the emperor and demand justice for the atrocities he has committed against the empire, but of course nothing goes as they have actually planned for it to go! Each of three bond mates has their own struggles that they must face, but Ciardis takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from the very beginning. At the end some questions are answered, but in her usual style Terah Edun leaves us with a cliff hanger that has us begging for the book to not be over!
