    Fantatstic medical Thriller

This is a great medical thriller along with a love story in the making. I love the plot and how genetics could possibly happen some day and it could also be manipulated for evil as well. This may be why the Government needs to be involved at some level. Great book, love this kind of story.

    Interesting story line...

I found this story to be very interesting. It reminds me of Robin cook...I always enjoy his books! I have to say that there are quite a few errors but they are easy to figure out and are not too distracting. This is the perfect book if you just want to kill some time and not spend the money to download!

Didn't put it down until I finished it!

This was a great read! This book would be for anyone who likes mysteries, medicine, or science.

After the first chapter I was hooked and didn't put it down until I was finished.

The descriptions of the characters and settings were perfect, not too much and not too less. Some books have way too much desciptions in them, but this one was NOT one of those.

I'm looking into his other books right now.

    Oh well, it was free.

This is the second free Hoover book I made the mistake of reading. Other reviews have pointed out several of my own dislikes: font changes, typos, spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, product placement. But the thing that really bothered me in both books (didn't remember the other one's title, not worth it) was how the characters would forget a crucial plot point so easily, and do really stupid things that anyone with half a brain would be able to avoid.

Great story with possibility's of really happening in the future

The book started off slow, but picked up speed. You could see the things in this book actually happening. For free, it was a very good read.

    HORRIBLE!!!

I really looked forward to reading this book when I downloaded it only to be highly disappointed from start to finish, regardless of it being free. Considering the subject and plot, this could have been an amazing and thought provoking read if this author had been only half decent. It's as if this guy had no idea what he was talking about let alone doing in the first place. The majority of this book is unnecessary and goes on and on about nothing. Words were repeated and misspelled, some didn't even make sense. Punctuation and grammar is downright shameful. It's beyond me how this thing got out to the public. Just when you think it might start to get good, it fails miserably. Further into the book events are described half-ass and way out of order and all over the place and the once intelligent characters suddenly become stupid. In another review someone said it was obvious how he'd also done a lot of research yet had not a clue what to do with it and how he tries extremely too hard to show off what turned out to be a disgrace. I wish I had never found this book as I would have never been inclined to finish it just for the sake of finishing it and the hope of it not turning out to be a waste of my time. This is by far the worse thing I've ever read and I have never been picky with books because I love to read just about anything. I'm appalled by the good reviews.

    Great Read

I thought the book was great. It was the type of book that gets you thinking about mortality, morality and ethics. And it actually left an opening for a sequel. I would recomend it.

    It's a struggle to finish.

The best way to describe this book is like this: 1. How old are you? Answer 40 2. What is your age? 40 3. Did you say you are 40? Yes. 4. What year were you born? '72. 5 Are you sure you were born in '72?.......... etc. It's like watching a snail crawl.

You get the point after 430 pages you'd expect some action, some suspense anything to make you like it but so far no luck.

    Thought provoking with typos.

Interesting premise, probably something we will have to actually deal with some time in the future. Very poor editing and execution. The arbitrary font changes, bad line and page breaks and typos were very distracting.

    Good Story

This is a good story. I am a sucker for Medical Mysteries, however, this one tries the patience, because of spelling errors, and duplicating words in a sentence. Was going to quit a few times, but story and characters kept me going. And of course the book was free.

    Re- Rep- Repet- Repetit- Repetitive

This. This book. This book tells. This book tells a. This book tells a story. This book tells a story in. This book tells a story in the. This book tells a story in the most. This book tells a story in the most repetitive. This book tells a story in the most repetitive way. This book tells a story in the most repetitive way imaginable.

If you need someone to spoon feed you every important detail by repeating it over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over and over and over and over and over, then this book is for you.

The only one wishing for death in this story is the reader. This book is free for a reason.

    Interesting read

I enjoyed this medical mystery story. Theories in the story are relatively realistic in this day and age of science. References to concerns we all have or will encounter in our lives such as aging parents and dementia have you thinking. A page turner.

    okay

Not as interesting as I thought it would be. Some descriptions were long and tedious. An okay read, but wouldn't mind had I missed it.

    Don't waste your time.

As a fan of medical thrillers, I was initially very excited about this book. That excitement went away very early into the book. I felt the author was trying too hard, and as a result the whole story was really contrived and predictable. I felt he was trying to show off how much research he'd done, yet he didn't fully understand what he'd researched. There were instances where entirely too much unnecessary detail was given, and I found the character development to be poorly timed as it related to the story. This could have been terrible editing and not necessarily poor writing, but it certainly didn't help the book. I kept at it hoping the book would get better, but sadly it didn't, and I wish I had been given the Beta procedure so I could forget that I read this. If you're looking for a medical thriller to read, I'd recommend any of Robin Cook's books over this.

    Plodding at Times

Like others, I found the font changes and punctuation errors mildly annoying, but what bothered me the most was the writing style. For 10 or 20 pages, alot seemed to be happening, but that was always followed up by another 10 or 20 pages of boredom. The central characters go from very clever to brain-dead in their actions as they get to the bottom of the mystery.

    Annoying

The story is ok, but the publishing is really low-quality. There are many typos and spacing errors. The font switches back and forth between two very different styles on the same page, and the chapter headings are at the bottom of the previous page. Perhaps I shouldn't complain about a free read, but the poor quality of the publishing is very distracting.

    Rough exposition

I had a hard time enjoying the heavy-handed dialogue that the author used to explain the central narrative. Admittedly, regenerative medicine is a tough topic unfamiliar to most readers.

    Interesting story, but...

Good story, interesting plot, likeable characters, but very poorly edited. Sometimes it would switch fonts in the middle of a page. It could have been a great book with a little more work.
