Overview

Some are born supernatural. Some achieve supernatural. And some have supernatural thrust upon them.

Kate is a sixteen year old girl that never had the space to become her own person. When she moves to Santa Katrina to live with her biological father she discovers that the town is a vortex for paranormal talents and she is more gifted than most. As she learns to stand up to her family and friends to be her own person other people challenge them since not all use their skills in ethical ways.

Kate never put much stock in the rumor that she was the first daughter born in over two hundred years to the Thomas family. First it wasn’t believable and second it wasn’t something she could have controlled if she wanted to. And she liked being the youngest daughter. Her three older brothers were a bit overprotective - perhaps controlling at times - but no one messed with her. Matt and Eric, the oldest and twins, were telekinetic and that was only a secondary skill to their natural talent to run off unwelcome outsiders. It was top-secret knowledge that only Brian, the last Thomas brother, and her were permitted to know.

But things have a way of changing and something as ridiculous as being the only daughter turned out to be the loose thread that unraveled a long hidden family secret.
