Liat Margolis est titulaire du Masters en Architecture du paysage de la Graduate School of Design de Harvard et du BA en Design Industriel de la Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Elle était Directrice des Recherches sur les Matériaux chez Material ConneXion, une entreprise innovante de consultation et de recherche sur les matériaux. Elle est une des fondateurs de la Collection de matériaux de la Graduate School of Design (GSD) de Harvard et elle a reçu le prix Presidential Instructional Technology Fellows Program de l’Université de Harvard pour son travail au sein de la Collection.
