I bought this book to help me with my medical transcription class and it was an invaluable source. I'm a fairly decent speller, but this book really picked up where my ability ends.

This is my right hand. It is so wonderful to have a tool like this at your disposal. The information in this book is priceless. I highly recommend this anyone going into the medical field.

I was disappointed because I was unable to search for a specific word. You have to go to the letter of the alphabet and turn the page one by one until you find the word. Takes too much time.

I purchased this medical dictionary having had one years ago. As it was an anniversary edition, perhaps I expected more. There are several pages with small creases not visible at the time of purchase due to packaging. Fortunately, the printed content is not affected. As for the CD included, it amounts to a free one year access to the web site. If you're an established medical professional this may serve you. I'm a mere student, and didn't find it so very useful. I almost returned the purchase, but needed the dictionary so I kept it. It serves its purpose, but I wouldn't get this edition just because it's an anniversary edition.

the dictionary was recommended by my school and I found it to a useful tool and would recomend to any body going into Health Care the Funeral business or just to keep on the self.The CD is also a great tool

In my career, I sometime like to argue definition of medical terminology and their other word definitions. I certainly could not do this without my Taber's Cyclopedic Dictionary. I believe Taber's to be the best dictionary of its kind. I am glad to have the CD and access to the website as well. If you need this type of dictionary, you certainly cannot go wrong. Also if you need to defend your terminology, most doctor's also rely on Taber's for their use as well.

When i was going thru CNA classes I found taber's medical dictionary to be something useful. yeah sure my classes were only three weeks but it helped me get thru my class and to understand what i was doing. Now that i'm going to be going to EMT school in just under a month. I'm going to use taber's again for 6 months to complete my course for EMT school

In our PACU we have a mountain of nursing books on our shelves but they just take up space and collect dust because everytime we have a guestion one of us will yell out,'go get the Taber's, it will be in there!' And it always is!!!!

I couldn't live without this book while attending college for Medical Coding and I've continued using it out here in the real world. In fact I wore my first one out and this will be my 2nd one.

I am a student and it was recommended that I purchase a medical dictionary by my instructors. I asked each instructor which one they recommended and they all agreed that Tabers was the one to get. I didn't want to go through the expense of purchasing several different ones in order to have the information I needed. I purchased Tabers and I am able to find anything I am looking for. It is extremely user friendly and has impeccable information. I am very pleased with this purchase. If you need one for classes or a source of reference - no need to look any further! There is also a CD that allows you to expand your search for knowledge. One thing that is difficult in medicine is the ability to pronounce words. The CD will actually pronounce each and every term for you.
