I love Tonya Kappes' Magical Cures series, so when I found out she was writing a YA mystery, I was so excited! "Tag...You're It" lived up to my expectations! There were so many twists and turns throughout the story that kept me guessing. I love that in stories I read. And the ending was a complete surprise! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters, too. Honor is a regular high-school girl trying to fit in and be popular. I can definitely relate to that! The fact that she has a ghost following her makes things a bit tricky for her...much more so than normal high school kids. She is torn between fitting in and doing the right thing. The other characters reminded me of typical high-school students at the top of the food chain: various personalities, each one trying to keep their status as an IT, uh, popular student. The book had a wonderful mix of mystery, high-school romance, friendship and family. I would definitely recommend it to all YA lovers!

I do not know how Tonya does it, but each and every time I read one of her books I am impressed and have a hard time putting the book down. Tag You're It is another book that I had a hard time putting down. Full of twists and turns the plot is fantastic. The main character Honor Prescott is marvelous. She is just the right mixture of brains, beauty and flaws to be believable. In this book Honor has suffered a horrible loss, her best friend since grade school is killed in a horrible accident and Honor is full of guilt over the fight they had before her friends death. Things get a little crazy for Honor and her parents decide she needs to start over in a new place and school so they move her across the country in the hope that Honor will have a new life and things can get back to normal. Honor is not popular but that changes with a little help from her deceased friend Hillary. Did I mention that Hillary has not crossed over and Honor can see her, talk to her and touch her? While Honor tries to deal with her new popularity, and a mean jealous girl named Minnie, a new boyfriend, a new school, creepy new neighbors and teachers, her life just isn't all that wonderful. Her mom is happy that Honor is finally part of the exclusive crowd, but her grandma doesn't seem too happy about Honor's new popularity. Her parents are not happy with the changes they are seeing in Honor. She tries to tell them that she no longer see's her friends ghost but they do not seem to be buying it. And now there is another ghost hanging around with Hillary and Honor one who wants something. This book is full of wonderful believable characters, twists and turns enough to keep you turning the page to see what happens next. The ending was a total surprise and one I didn't see coming. I am looking forward to the next book. Wonderful read for a young adult or one that is still young at heart. A must read for paranormal/ mystery lovers

Oh my goodness ... I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this book! Tag ... You're IT is a new YA novel by Tonya Kappes but you don't have to be a young adult to enjoy it. Tonya has a wonderful way of writing that draws you right into the world of her characters and stories. I'm always hooked immediately. Same with this one ... I couldn't put it down because I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. It's a sweet love story and paranormal mystery all wrapped into one. Loved the intense ending and then the extra twist at the very end. I highly recommend it and I hope that we will get to read more about Honor and her life.

This book was fantastic! If someone was watching me, while I was reading it, they would have seen me saying, "Interesting.....interesting.....interesting...WHAT?.....REALLY?....NO FREAKING WAY!....THAT WAS AWESOME!" That pretty much covers my reaction to another exciting Tonya Kappes book! She never ever disappoints. The book combines the awkward high school years, ghosts, secret societies, and a small town that is full of secrets. It was easy to get drawn into Honor's story, and the ending...Oh My Goodness! If you are looking for something good to read, definitely check this out. It moves quickly, and you won't be disappointed!
