Record companies were eager to sign her, and she eventually settled with Geffen. Instead of rushing out her debut album, she waited over a year, releasing Tails in the fall of 1995. Surprisingly, it didn't fade away, becoming a hit with adult alternative radio stations and listeners. That's because Tails delivers on the promise of "Stay." While the basic folk-rock elements of the song are present, much of the material on the record doesn't sound like her ...

Surprisingly, it didn't fade away, becoming a hit with adult alternative radio stations and listeners. That's because Tails delivers on the promise of "Stay." While the basic folk-rock elements of the song are present, much of the material on the record doesn't sound like her breakthrough hit; there are some distorted guitars here and there, and she even rocks out a little bit. Nothing on Tails is as good as "Stay," either; there are too many sophomoric lyrics and unfinished melodies, but it is a pleasant record and, in its own way, charming. There is an innocence and naïveté about Loeb that makes her music sweetly ingratiating, even when her ideas are underdeveloped.

    tails

i thought tails was a great album.Allthough it had depressing songs, it was very realistic. The songs made you fell like you wrote them.I enjoyed this album and I think almost anybody would.****

    Lisa Loeb's best album yet

While driving down the busy highways or even a barren road, listening to Lisa Loeb's tracks on this CD will soothe the mind. Her voice is not a melodic sound like Faith Hill, but rather a clear, crisp voice. I especially like the songs Stay and Do You Sleep on this CD. Both of these songs I can relate to, and I love listening to this CD when I need some inspiration. After a tough day or even bad mood, Lisa Loeb's words make me feel better. The songs on this CD are her best yet, and really come from the heart. It is definitely a good investment and well worth the money.
