I realize this isn't an official review, just my own personal thoughts as a romance reader. But, I had to shout to the world what agreat story this was. Oh my, what a great story...and the best ending to a series ever! Seriously! I loved Cali and Jared...I think they are my favorite pair in this series. I just did not know this story was going to be so emotional...dang! And Cali's previous husband, what a jerk!! It's just a darn good thing he was dead. I so wanted to kill him for what he'd done to her. I wonder if Ms. Monroe plans to do any stories in the future? I'd love for the kids to have their own stories. After a few years--to give them time to grow up.______________I ended up reading all day today. Took the time to just veg and read and eat. What a way to spend a chilly Sunday. Curled up with a good Lucy Monroe book. She always gives me my money's worth, ya know? While your heart is in your throat and your feelings are being tossed about, you're also dying from the heat her stories create. Great love scenes! Great ending! Great tortured hero in 'Take Me'._________________...Beauty and the Beast, only better, soooo much better. If you don't have this series, you should buy it. I'm totally not into historicals really, but I made the exception with this series and I'm glad I did, because it went beyond my expections._________________Touch Me.....Tempt Me......Take Me.....get them. read them. trust me!!

Jared, Viscount Ravenswood, has been dubbed ¿Lord Beast¿ among most members of the ton. He's large, imposing and quite visibly scarred. Yet Mary, his dying housekeeper, entrusted Jared with that which was most precious to her - Hannah, her young daughter. Before Mary took her last breath, she made Jared promise to bring Hannah to meet her former employer, the widowed Calantha, Dowager Duchess of Clairborne. Jared is one of the very few to know the terrible connection between Calantha's deceased husband and Hannah. As far as Jared is concerned, Calantha failed miserably in her duty to protect Mary. He can't understand why his housekeeper would want her daughter exposed to a woman like that. ---------- To most of the ton, Calantha is an emotionless statue made of marble rather than flesh and blood. She is often derisively called ¿The Angel¿. But, no one knows what Calantha endured in her marriage. Although she has little more than her cherished roses to keep her company, she nevertheless finds her widowhood infinitely preferable to a life bound to the Duke of Clairborne. Living alone in a small house, Calantha often yearns for children, but believes it is a wish that can never be fulfilled. ---------- Because Jared¿s honor demands that he fulfill Mary¿s dying wish, he brings Hannah to meet Calantha. He expects her to be cold and emotionless, but as his sisters seem to consider her a friend, maybe he¿ll try to get to know her a little better. She immediately adores Hannah and secretly wishes she were the sweet child¿s mother, although she can¿t help but feel guilty for what happened to Mary under her roof so many years before. ---------- As they spend time with each other, Jared and Callie start to connect. She begins to feel a spark of hope that there may be more to her future than roses and loneliness. Then, someone goes to great lengths to make is appear as though Callie is trying to hurt or even kill Hannah. Who could possibly do such a thing? Will Jared believe that Callie is being set up? Will anyone believe in her innocence? Or is Callie doomed to a lifetime of loneliness and suspicion? ---------- Where others look at Jared and see a beast, Callie views his scars as badges of honor. Unfortunately, Jared isn¿t as quick to give Callie the benefit of the doubt, even though he should know that appearances can be deceiving. I hoped Jared would look beyond the emotionless statue most of the world sees, and discover the true beauty of the flesh and blood woman before him. I also hoped he would support her when she needed it most. I wished Callie would find the happiness she so richly deserved with Jared and I hoped she wouldn¿t have to give up the pure joy she experienced as Hannah¿s new mother. I loved the intrigue of trying to figure out who was responsible for framing Callie, too. TAKE ME is an engrossing, thoroughly enjoyable tale from beginning to end and a superb conclusion to Lucy Monroe¿s first historical trilogy.

It's so obvious to the reader that this author, Lucy Monroe feels deeply about her characters. Each time I pick up one of her books, I'm amazed how she personally touches my heart and those of her fans. Thanks Lucy Monroe for an incredible historical series Tempt Me, Touch Me and Take Me. Take Me by Lucy Monroe concludes her deeply moving and sensual trilogy. __________________ Jared, Viscount Ravenswood had promised his beloved housekeeper on her deathbed to take her child, Hannah to meet the woman known as the Angel. This angel is Calantha, Duchess of Clairborne. When Jared hears she will be at his sister¿s estate he makes a rare public appearance. Jared was marked on his face early in life when he saved his sisters life. _____________________ Calantha retired to the country after the death of her abusive husband. Her marriage was horrendous and she trusted few people. Cali agrees to attend her neighbors gathering and comes to the rescue of the man known as Lord Beast. Their attraction is instanteous and opens up a world Cali never knew existed. Beyond their attraction Cali begins to care for her friends child Hannah as well. ___________________ There is a dangerous element lurking around Cali. Jared will do anything to protect Cali. They agree to marry hoping that being under Jared¿s protection it will stop the threats on Cali. But someone is out to hurt Cali at the deepest level and it will take all the trust and love these two can spare. ___________________ Take Me is a book that will pull you into the lives of the characters and not let go. The emotional tugs are strong and powerful. Cali and Jared both are scared individuals not just on the surface. It will take a love so wonderful to bring them out to the other side. Lucy Monroe really packs everything into this conclusion. I can¿t remember when I have enjoyed a story more.

Jared, Vicount Ravenswood, is known to society as Lord Beast due to his scarred face. When Lord Beast is refused a dance at his sister's ball, Calantha, Duchess of Clairborne steps forward and asks Jared to dance. Known to all as The Angel, Calantha sees beyond Jared's scars to the honorable man beneath his scarred exterior. With one dance, thus begins the romance between Lord Beast and The Angel. But their romance won't be an easy one. Both Jared and Calantha have secrets. And intertwined with those secrets is grave danger. Before true happiness can be found, secrets must be revealed and the threat to their family must be eliminated. I loved Touch Me and Tempt Me. I have been chomping at the bit for Take Me. And I was not disappointed! I adored Take Me from beginning to end! I loved the characters, the twists and turns of the plot, and most of all, I loved the romance between Calantha and Jared. I have adored Jared from the moment he was first introduced in Touch Me and after reading Take Me, I want him even more. Jared is strong and powerful and has a magnificent presence. I love that Calantha sees beyond his exterior, from the beginning, to the gorgeous man that he is. And he is gorgeous! The thing I love most about Jared, though, is the awe and depth of emotion he feels with Calantha. Lucy Monroe is one of my favorite authors because I love her heroes. Ms. Monroe writes these deliciously Alpha heroes and is able to capture their emotional vulnerability without lessening their manhood. It's what makes me want her heroes for my own. It's what makes me want Jared oh so much! Take Me is the final book in this wonderful trilogy. I am sad to see it end. Luckily, I can read these delicious books over and over again. And trust me, I will!

Instead he offers to raise the child as his own though he knows she is a by-product of a rape, but Mary gets him to agree to her deathbed request to take the lass to the ¿Angel¿ as she calls Calantha. He considers Calantha as evil because her late husband, the monstrous duke, raped Mary and sired Hannah and she did nothing to protect their servant.--------------- Calantha does not want any part of the man known by the Ton as Lord Beast because she fears her attraction to Jared. However, he refuses to back down as honor demands he complete his quest though he too finds he cannot ignore the Angel who somehow is in his every conscious thought. As they fall in love over a child and roses, someone is trying to hurt Hannah with all the evidence pointing at Calantha.----------------- The third ¿T Me¿ Regency romance (see TOUCH ME and TEMPT ME) is a terrific tale starring a hero whose father ¿stole¿ him at birth from his mother and sister, and a woman he initially considers a she-demon. As they fall in love, Calantha, a survivor of a nasty relationship just like Jared is, risks all to keep Hannah safe while her beloved wonders if she could be the culprit as he still struggles with her being an Angel. If they trust in love they might save Hannah¿s life, but Calantha believes he loved Mary and Jared fears his heart is blinding his head from the reality of an avenging angel. TAKE ME is a superb ending to a fine historical trilogy.------------- Harriet Klausner
