Overview

Inspired by frontman Guy Garvey's six-week stay in New York, this sixth studio album from the Bury, Manchester indie rock act, had working titles of All at Once and Carry Her, Carry Me, before its lengthy, prog-inspired moniker was settled upon. Partly recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios, the album features the lead single "New York Morning," as well as "Charge," a track that shares its title with an amber pale ale that the Elbow have created.
