Overview

Kat Trueblood, genetically engineered medium and former CIA Agent, thought she had escaped the danger and drama of her previous life. She has a stable job as a paralegal, is dating her first girlfriend, and has plenty of time to spend with her best friend and guardian – a ghost named Grant.

In denial about missing the action of her former life, Kat’s thrust head first back into it when the Russian mafia – the same guys who raped and tortured her for two weeks during active duty – targets her and her family. The CIA forces her to choose between working with the FBI to catch a serial killer who is slaughtering area drag queens or leaving her family at risk.

Distracted by discovering Grant is in love with her and her girlfriend ending up on the suspect list, Kat finds herself as the hunted instead of the hunter. Captured by the killer, she must face her inner demons in order to survive and end the serial killer’s mayhem.

    I Also Recommend:

    I recommend this bood-its very intriguing~

I read this book about a month ago, and its one of those books that you just DO NOT want to put down. You finish a chapter, and then you just want to move on to the next chapter because you need to find out what happend, or whats going to happen next! There's a few twists and turns, and I was so into the book I finished it in less than a week, and was dissapointed when it was over! Went by to quick!!! :)

    Amazing!

Twisted, Rivoting, Delightful! I couldn't put the book down. The storyline kept me guessing all the way through and I was completely on the edge of my seat throughout. Taking Control is highly recommendable and the author is to receive the highest honors for such a dark twisted masterpiece.

    A Great Book Loved It

What a great book we follow the story of a beaten down ex-CIA operative who's seen better days. In order to protect her family she must team up with the FBI in hopes of catching someone killing drag queens. Kat and her ghost Grant are up to their eyes in drag queens trying to figure out how they are being kidnapped and killed. Let alone Kat is trying to come to terms with a bad situation that happened 2 years ago in Russia.

Kat also discovers who ghost is in love with her, and unsure how to process this she continues with her mission. Definitely a great new book and author I will be definitely looking into for any future books.

She writes a great mystery, with characters that give a good laugh. I also enjoyed the sibling banter between Kat and her sister. They have a relationship I think many would envy being close and similar in alot of ways.
