Overview

Beatrix Potter's classic picture book sees new life in this enhanced eBook version, that renders the original illustrations & text in the fixed layout format preserving the original book design and layout . This tale of Benjamin Bunny also includes read along audio narrated in a gentle human voice that kids would love!
When Mr. McGregor and his wife leave home in their gig, Benjamin Bunny and his cousin Peter Rabbit venture into Mr. McGregor's garden to retrieve the clothes Peter lost there in The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
They find the clothes on a scarecrow, but Peter is apprehensive about lingering in the garden because of his previous experience.
Benjamin delays their departure by gathering onions, which he wraps in Peter's handkerchief.
He then takes a casual stroll around the garden, followed by an increasingly nervous Peter.
Rounding a corner, they see a cat and hide under a basket, but the cat then sits on top of the basket for hours, trapping the pair.
Benjamin's father enters the garden looking for his son. He drives the cat from the basket and locks her in the greenhouse, then frees Benjamin and Peter. Once home, Peter gives the onions to his mother, who forgives his adventure because he has recovered his clothes. Following his return, Mr. McGregor is puzzled by the scarecrow's missing clothes and the cat locked in the greenhouse.

Peter's mischievous cousin, Benjamin Bunny, persuades him to go back to Mr. McGregor's garden to retrieve the clothes he lost there. On board pages.

One morning a little rabbit sat on a bank. He pricked his ears and listened to the trit-trot, trit-trot of a pony.

A gig was coming along the road; it was driven by Mr. McGregor, and beside him sat Mrs. McGregor in her best bonnet.

    the illustrations too small

Of course the delight of this classic tale is unchanged, but the size of the illustrations are too small. Reading a Beatrix Potter book means being enveloped in her colored drawings. Although I marvel that I can download this gem from my childhood I'd still like to see the pictures enlarged.

    Recommended - charming story

The Tale of Benjamin Bunny is a delightful adventure with Benjamin Bunny and his cousin Peter Cottontail. Mr Macgregors' garden beckons the young bunnies, trouble erupts, and the excitement begins. Great story and illustrations for any young children.

    sweet illustrations

My grandsons, two and four, were attentive but not as captivated by this Nook Book as by many others. They didn't particularly relate to the story.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased this along with The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Dinosaurs Love Underpants, and The Monster at the end of this Book. NONE of the books will play on the NOOK for KIds app on the IPad. Extremely disappointed, don't wast your money if you want it to work on an IPad.
