I read this in a matter of hours, it was that good! I highly recommend this book to anybody who likes paranormal romance and urban fantasy. If you havent already, read her other books: Toil and Trouble and Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble. You will fall in love with the characters and find yourself craving for more! H.P. is an author who is very in touch with her readers! Go read her books!

This book was amazing. I actually read it faster then the first one. The author does a great job of reminding the read of important facts from the first book without boring the reader to tears like so many other series! Bravo! And read this book, and while your at it read the first one if you havent read it yet!

I absolutely love the Dulcie O'Neil series! This second book in the series certainly does not disappoint. I have read all of H.P. Mallory's books and she has become one of my favorite authors (If you have not read the Jolie Wilkins series, it is also a must read!!). The characters are amazing and I love how these books make me feel like I am not just reading a book but more experiencing it along with my favorite characters. Dulcie is a refreshing character who knows how to get the job done. However, this can sometimes get her into trouble becuase she will do whatever it takes to save the people she loves. She is more of an act now and think about the concequences later kind of person. Fortunately, she has a good variety of people around her, some more trustworthy than others. Oh and she has the very sexy Knight as her partner!! I cannot wait for the next one!! Team Knight! :)

This is a definite must, but you have to read To Kill a Warlock first. This is great second addition to the series. I can't wait for more! Go Team Knight!!!!

As always a well written book. I discovered her on my Nook and after reading both the first books in her Jolie series and Dulcie series she has yet to disappoint. Read these books as they are with the caliber of Charlaine Harris and Kim Harrison. Rock on H.P!

Have read ALL of HP's books...and can't wait for the next one to come out! She's easy to read, creates great characters, and keeps you wanting more. This book was no exception...read it in one day. Fun! Highly recommended. For those who enjoy paranormal fantasy, this is a must.

Her second installment in the Dulcie O'Neal series does not disappoint! It's action packed from the first page to the last with a hint of more to come!! H.P's books have it all; well defined (and sexy) characters, passion, romance (aka sexual tension!) nail biting action and laugh out loud humor! I can't only hope these books will make it to the big screen! Keep up the fantastic work H.P.!

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.Action-packed, edge-of-your-seat, heart-racing, laugh-inducing, mystery-solving, tear-jerking, sexually charged page-turner of a read. To sum it up: This book has it all, and then some. Just when you think H.P Mallory's books couldn't possibly get any better, she writes the next installment to the series and manages to do the impossible - to one up a previous book that was thought of as "un-upable." Yes, it's not a word, but this book deserves one of my famous portmanteau terms aka "Evie's completely made up" words. Dulcie is back and avoiding the world. After being betrayed by her friend and boss Quill, she decides to lay low and completely avoid men, especially one man in particular...Knight. Unfortunately for her, Knight is unavoidable and has a case he needs her to work on. A number of people are going comatose and all roads lead to a Dreamstalker. The problem is that all of his victims link back to her. With the number of victims adding up, Dulcie agrees to help Knight on the condition that the relationship is purely platonic. But all hell breaks loose as Dulcie not only tries to battle the threat of the Dreamstalker, find out who he is and save the victims, but she also has to battle her growing feelings for Knight and the pain inflicted by the loss and betrayal of Quill. Things get even worse when the Dreamstalker ups the ante by taking her best friend as his latest victim. With the stakes higher than ever, Dulcie goes against all she believes in to save her friend. With everything to lose, she throws caution to the wind and risks it all to save the one person who has stood by her side. With her life spiraling out control, will Dulcie be able to save her friend and defeat the Dreamstalker or will she die trying? The Dreamstalker is striking, time is ticking, the victims are dying and it's up to Dulcie to stop him. Take book 1 of the series: To Kill A Warlock and times everything you loved about by 10 and you have A Tale of Two Goblins. Everything is amplified: The sexual tension between Knight and Dulcie is through the roof, the mystery is even greater -with twists and turns in every corner, the action has been turned up with Dulcie risking her life for her friend, and the laughs and tears are aplenty as we join Dulcie on the ride of her life! This book is a must read for every paranormal romance and urban fantasy fan! I do have one complaint: I have to wait in high anticipation for the next installment to come out :-)
