When I saw this at Barnes & Noble I had to buy it no matter what, and it turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made in a while. This Tales From The Crypt audio book is AMAZING! The stories very from your usual creepy to kooky type stories that the tv series was famous for. The sound effects and narrations are spooky and bone chilling; and from the first story onward you will be pulled right in and wanting to listen more. And It gives you the feel of and old time radio show; you can kick back, turn off all your lights, light a candle, and scare yourself to death. And don't be afraid to let your imagination enrich the story for you further. If you're a fan of Tales From The Crypt, horror stories, or just yearning for a simpler time then this is a GREAT product for you! :D

I was only able to listen to a few of the stories because they were either too bawdy or too disturbing. I though my teens and I would enjoy these stories during our car trips, but noone liked them.

The first story had a sex scene and many sexual comments. Of course some people think that is just fine but if you are like our family, it isn't really a positive. This one is going to the used book store.

Each of the stories capture and hold the audience's attention throughout its entirety. The audio quality is very good, and the sound effects are better than average. Together the two help the flow of the story and to visualize what is happening. It is unfortunate the theme song is a variation of the television version.

I bought the CD set to listen to while traversing the USA via airplanes and waiting at various airports. I was delighted with every story and the 5 hours passed much more quickly and pleasantly. I hope another compilation will be released soon.
