Meet the Author

Cliff Harris is a former Dallas Cowboys safety and member of the 1972 Super Bowl winning team. Alongside his teammate and friend, Charlie Waters, Harris was part of the famous “Doomsday Defense.” He retired from the Cowboys in 1979 to pursue a business career. Today he is president of Energy Transfer Group, and is active in civic affairs. He lives in Rockwell, Texas.

Charlie Waters is a former Dallas Cowboys player and former staff coach for the Denver Broncos. After leaving the NFL as a player he embarked on a coaching career. He lives in Dallas, Texas.

Roger Staubach played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1969 until 1979. He was named MVP after the Cow-boys took their first Super Bowl victory in 1972. Prior to his professional career, Staubach was QB for the Navy football team. In 1985 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and in 2010 he was named “number one Dallas Cowboy” in a poll conducted by the Dallas Morning News. He now lives in Dallas, Texas.
