There is no doubt that these stories are a captivating cornucopia of Wodehousian wit. If anyone were to ask for one word that could describe why Wodehouse was so captivating, I would say 'inventiveness.' His mastery of farce is unrivaled in these stories that pose Freddie Widgeon against a household of 'dumb chums' in 'Good-bye to All Cats,' Pongo Twistleton dealing with a visit from his uncle Fred (Earl of Ickenhan) as 'Uncle Fred Flits By,' several stories of Bingo Little managing the literary world of the magazine Wee Tots, and the most incredible example of how the Fourth Dimension could play such a prank in 'The Great Hat Mystery. Yes, this book has the whole array of Drones personalities: Freddie, Bingo, Pongo, Barmy, Catsmeat, Oofy, plus the supporting cast of Eggs, Beans, and Crumpets. They all do their bit to produce just about the most hilarious set of situations imaginable.
