About the Author

Michael P. Quinlin has worked in the fields of publishing, politics and public relations for the Irish-American community. He wrote and published Guide to the Boston Irish and Guide to the New England Irish. In 2000 he formed the Boston Irish Tourism Association, a group that markets Irish cultural activities and businesses to the convention and visitors industry. He has written hundreds of articles on Irish culture, politics and history for the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Irish America Magazine and other publications. He is also the author of Irish Boston (Globe Pequot), which charts the history of the Boston Irish from the 18th Century to today.
