Lawrence Newman is the President of Silver Millennium Publications, Inc. and author of numerous books, including three about his favorite subject—the Apostle Islands, an archipelago of twenty two islands located off Wisconsin’s northern shore in western Lake Superior, home of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, deemed the most pristine national park in the United States. He has also written books on other subjects, including quote compilations. In his previous life he was a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. before he retired in 2001, after eighteen years with that company.
