"Wow, Ron Levy's book is AMAZING! Wonderful reading, entertaining, fun, educational and, well, AMAZING!" - Norman Darwen - Blues Matters! - UK

"I want everyone to know, Ron Levy is one of the very best musicians I've ever played and worked with. Now, he's even written a great book! I'm so proud of my 'son'." B.B. King 4/13/13

"Ron Levy endures as an ingenious Blues keyboardist -- touring most notably with B.B. King for 7 years -- and he was there when B.B. played Muhammad Ali's private parties, as well as stadium shows in Africa and throughout the world. He was the ultimate road warrior, also tickling the ivories for Albert King, Roomful of Blues and his own Ron Levy's Wild Kingdom, while meeting everyone from Elvis Presley to Nina Simone. He distills it all in his lively, remarkably honest book (NOW IN PAPERBACK), 'Tales of a Road Dog.' Nearly everything is unique in these gritty and humorous stories of survival with some of music's great pioneers and the musicians who powered them on stage. If you thought you knew about music history, trust me that you'll know even more when you delve into Levy's rich and colorful text. This guy can write as well as he can play." - STEVE MORSE - Boston Globe, Billboard and Rolling Stone.

A download link to Levy's critically acclaimed album "FUNKY FIESTA!" is included.

Thanks to Ted Drozdowski for his very kind words...... "Ron Levy's Tales of a Road Dog is a definitive, highly personal portrait of the real and occasionally surreal world of a touring musician, It's also a deep look into the blues universe of the late 20th century — packed with colorful characters, living musical history and crazed anecdotes — packed by the likes of B.B. King, Albert King and other notables, including the talented Levy himself. Fans of blues and American music in general, and aspiring road dogs, now have their Bible."

Tales of a Road Dog is the story of Ron Levy's journey through decades of music. I know Ron from the Boston Blues music scene, he's quiet, a bit shy and about the best keys player I've ever had the joy of hearing. His book is like listening to a long conversation of his escapade's. It must have been exciting and a little scary to be a young tall thin nice Jewish man traveling with some of the greatest African American musicians during times when many thought different people should not mix. I got this great book as a Christmas gift and didn't pick it up for three weeks because I knew I would have a hare time putting it down. I was right. He has played with just about every great American Musician you can think of. I'm going to reread it and have already bought a copy for another who loves the craft. Please get this book, read it and share it. Also If you live in the Boston area go LISTEN to this man. He's a treasure! I've been told that as a New Englander I'm spoiled with the amount of live music in our area. It's true! Go out and support live music and support Ron and his craft. Thank you for sharing and I'll be asking you about those things that you left out in order to protect the "innocent"
