When one typically thinks of families blessed with large numbers

When one typically thinks of families blessed with large numbers of children, very often the stories and personalities of each individual are lost. Rachel Starr Thomson and Carolyn Currey are second cousins; they are members of families with 12 and 8 children respectively. Tales of the Heartily Homeschooled is their heart-warming collection of true stories about growing up amidst controlled chaos. Laugh-out-loud funny at times, each writer depicts the beauty of a close knit family, and the faithful hand of God ever present in their lives.

I recommend this book to anyone who has ever experienced family “adventures” of their own in daily living. From mishaps such as flooding basements, (almost) exploding vacuum cleaners, and mosquito armies, the authors share their life lessons learned and affirm the goodness of our loving Heavenly Father in the midst of it all. You’ll come away from reading with a greater appreciation for the humor in everyday life, even when things don’t go quite as planned.
