About the Author

My name is Sofia Ashtyn, and I am an artist and chronic observer.
I am eighteen years old and raised in South Florida. I find home in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
I have always been obsessive and contemplative, since as far as my memory reaches. Listening, watching, and feeling when done in such excess, can be overwhelming to a little girl. I turned to art to convey the ideas I found most consuming.
Esoteric and rabbit-hearted, I’ve grown to indulge and wallow in the untamed. My poetry is written as a not only a release of emotion, but a personal case study into nature, desire, and human bonds. I write for my own eyes and only hope my words can connect with others in the process.
