Overview

Tate "Talker" Walker has spent most of his life hiding his scars under a bright punk facade, and until he sat next to Brian Cooper on a bus, it worked. But Brian has spent his whole life being the invisible man, and he's used to looking below the surface. What he sees in Talker is a fragile and lovable human being. Brian is outwardly straight, but Talker is desperate for love, and when Talker's behavior leads to some painful consequences, Brian is forced to come out of his closet--in dramatic fashion. He'll do anything to make sure Talker sees that he's the Prince Charming Talker has always needed.

I found this book very captivating. The characters were unique and interesting - the story behind the tattoos really gave me something to think about. I look forward to reading the next 2 in the series.

OK that was really sweet. I have to admit, I wasn't on board the whole time. It's get frustrating to watch two people be so oblivious and get hurt in the process. But in the end I had a big grin on my face so that counts for a lot. There was a lot of emotional stuff going on but I still feel like we'll get to know the guys a little better in future books (which I will definitely check out). It'd be nice to see them both break out of their respective shells and get from other friends! The weird flashbacks in the first few chapters were a little disorienting at first though, to be honest, and would have affected my rating if it hadn't picked up in the end. I feel like they could have made a little smoother because it confused to timeline a lot for me. And they left me a little disconnected at times because instead of actually seeing a lot of their friendship development, we were simply told about a lot of it after the fact.
