The subtitle of this book is more accurate than its title, for it's really about communicating with confidence. Whether you are what the Littauers describe as the Powerful, Popular, Perfect or Peaceful personality, you'll profit from their suggestions for overcoming the negatives of those personality tendencies. You'll learn how to take compliments and criticism with grace. You'll be given ideas for extending grace and love in notes to people struggling with life's tough places. You'll also be given techniques to take the fear out of public speaking, and encouraged to discover the special message God has built into your life. If you're wanting to stand out in the crowd of so-so communicators and be used more by God, get this book and put it to practice. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Whether you're speaking before a crowd of thousands, an office staff of dozens, or just trying your best to communicate with your own family, TALKING SO PEOPLE WILL LISTEN is an excellent source for communication tips and practical advice. Florence and Marita Littauer, gifted communicators in both the spoken and written word, will help you discover your own natural communication style, and even improve on it. With plenty of the authors' own anecdotes, this book is fun to read and full of good information. If we're going to survive in this world, we have to learn how to interact with each other. We need to speak so others will listen, and we need to listen, really listen, to what others are saying, and not just what we think they're saying. This book helps us do just that. I highly recommend it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This excellent book is a must for everyone who wants to communicate more effectively with everyone. The book begins by helping the reader understand the four personality types. Through this information the reader can better understand how to shape his/her message for maximum impact. It then explains the complexities of giving a presentation and finishing with lots of ideas and instruction on crafting your message. For those who have attended or anticipate attending their C.L.A.S.Seminars, this is an excellent review or preview! For anyone, information to improve written and spoken messages will be of great benefit. The section on public speaking should be required reading for anyone addressing an audience!
