In today's fast-paced world we sometimes forget to stop and enjoy the simple things in life, like cuddling up with a little one to share nursery rhymes. There is a reason Mother Goose has been around for so many generations: young children are naturally responsive to the beauty, rhythm, and rhyme of these simple verses. They are captivated by the imaginative word-play in each little story, and will want to hear them told over and over again. So turn off the TV, turn off the computer, turn off the cell phone, and read Mother Goose together. You will spark your child's imagination, encourage their language development, and have a wonderful bonding experience.
