CONTEMPORARY WESTERN ROMANCE NOVEL/
Originally published as Chasing the Moonlight/
by The Wild Rose Press/

Former bad boy Mitch Defalco roars into Stone Creek, Texas, on the back of a Harley with his newly discovered daughter riding behind him. Single mom Sarah Cooper cannot believe he's moved in next door. She had a secret crush on him years ago when he dated her older sister back in high school.

As Mitch tackles the responsibilities of fatherhood, Sarah admires the way he's turned his life around. She asks him to help her with a personal problem: Her fear of men. Mitch knows he's bad news for sexy Sarah, but how can he refuse her dangerous request, when she's determined to move forward with or without his help?

Excerpt:

Mitch didn't wait for permission. He moved in closer, touching his lips to hers, pressing gently, letting them both get a feel for the other. He'd sworn he wasn't going to kiss Sarah Cooper, but sitting next to her on the swing like this, she was a temptation he had no power to resist.

For a minute, she didn't respond and he worried that he'd overstepped his welcome. Then her lips trembled beneath his, and she exhaled a soft sigh. When he heard the little moan in the back of her throat, he put his arms around her and pulled her forward.

Mitch deepened the kiss, taking it to the next level, swiping his tongue against her lips. She opened for him, tilting her head for better access and he slid inside her mouth. She tasted of chocolate and vanilla and the sweet essence of Sarah.

Editorial Reviews

J. Thomas
Ms. Novark is a fantastic storyteller, and has a wonderful grasp for writing very emotionally charged scenes. There is far more here than a romance, but rather, this is a story with complexity and substance, which is everything a reader could ask for and more.

ABOUT AMs BOOKS:

When people think of Texas, they usually think about cowboys, ranches and horses. But Texas is more than that. It's not just a place; it's an attitude, a state of mind.

My favorite kind of hero is Tall, Dark and Texan. Whether a rugged sexy cowboy or a single-dad teaching at the local high school, these heroes are strong men waiting for strong women to call their own--no matter how hard they fight it; no matter how loudly they deny it. I hope you enjoy reading about my Lone Star Heroes and the women they fall in love with.

Remember: Life's too short NOT to love a Texan!!!

    So-So

This book could have been pretty good but the author made a fatal flaw.

She painted a character who would never ask a "guy to help with her problem" yet that is exactly what she did -- and then to imply the "solution" actually helped is ridiculous! Obviously, it would only apply to the hero.

Sarah is a young widow with a young son Josh. She leads a simply life until Bad Boy Mike, her teenage crush has moved back to town with his teenage daughter. Mike has moved back home to better help raise his daughter Lindsey and settle into father hood. Both Sarah and Mike will need each other to get through their issues, a special request and help raise their kids.

This book was was sooooo sweet, like really sweet. It had me smiling at some scenes and a little sad in others. The author incorporated characters that made this story very nice.  Sarah was really nice, Mike was cute and a bad boy dad with a bike and the kids Josh and Lindsey were surely used in the book that added that boost to it. I liked the storyline between Lindsey and her dad, it was great seeing there relationship do a 360. Also Lindsey and Thomas not really much there but how cute was that. Thomas was Lindsey's crush. If your really into that classical light romance then this is for you. I love the ending, it had the Parent Trap movie moment.

The only thing I was thinking about that maybe should have been addressed with out spoiling it for the reader. Sarah asked Mike for a special request, because of what happen to her. Even though she wanted his help which is ok, I  found myself wondering how she got through her issue with her first husband?

    Storyline:GOOD
    Intimacy: FAIR
    Enjoyment: GOOD
