She agrees but both hide from the other they want more than a marriage of convenience as each is in love her from the time she read his letters to Eli back in Chicago and him from the moment the fearsome horde invaded his life and heart.------------- Though the theme has been used quite often, this is an enjoyable pre Civil War Texas romance as the lonely rancher and the frightened widow find love. another wonderful romance about the mcmurray caln. this time it teagen, the oldest and the most gruff. jessie barton was married to a drunk that owned a bookstore which she ran. he died and his mother threw jessie and her three daughters out into the cold. she had been writiing to teagen since he sent the first order for books to her. he thought he was writing to her husband. when she has no where to live, she goes from chicago to texas to see if teagen will take her in. he does but doesn't realize he will lose his heart to jessie and her three daughters. her former mother-in-law comes to texas to claim the girls, so teagen marries jessie so she can keep them. this is more action packed romance from jodi thomas. don't miss this whole series. it's great!

Pick up this book and its like you already read the first two books, you can do this with any of her books in this series, but since I read them all, I would really recommend that you read the series...

Yeah,its another winner from Jodi. A young mother trying to save her daughters from grasping in-laws hoodwinks our Texan into taking her in. Is he mad when he find out. You bet. Does he get over it ? Seriously? This is a romance at its best.

You just knew Teagan's story would be filled with his personality. How great of Jodi Thomas to match Teagan with his softer version of tenacity, grit and determination. As usual, there was great chemistry and passion to blend with the action. I loved this story as much as Texas Rain and Texas Princess. Jodi never lets me down. I am so looking forward to Sage's story...with Roak!

Finally, Teagan gets his chance at love. This is a sweet and touching family love story. Jodi's books get better and better, and I have read them all.<BR/><BR/>I did not want this book to end. Write faster, Jodi.

I loved this book. It has humor, suspense, drama, romance - and very touching moments. I realize I missed the first two about Teagan's brothers! I plan to get both of those soon. <BR/><BR/>I hope there is a book in the making with Sage and Roak as the leads. It appears the stage has definitely been set!
