Library Journal

When a wild night of champagne and jackpots in Vegas results in marriage to sexy playboy Tony McCaffrey, brainy and normally sane accountant Heather Montgomery is appalled that she could have done something so "unplanned." Of course, Tony is equally stunned and anxious to undo the deed; unfortunately, Heather's marriage-obsessed family is thrilled about it, which makes things a bit more difficult. A very short-term marriage followed by a divorce seems to be the solution-until love works its magic. Opposites do attract in this fast-paced, diverting romantic comedy with more than its share of lively fun. Graves (Hot Wheels and High Heels) lives in Richardson, TX.

I still can't believe I loved this book

I don't like to read romance novels and have always found them cheesy but when a friend begged me to read this book I said what the hell. I'm so happy I did. I went from thinking I could not get through this book to not wanting to put it down. All I kept saying to my husband was I can't put my nook down this book is so good. I loved Heather I loved Tony. I loved Heather and Tony together. I don't think I'm a fan of romance novels yet but I am a fan of this book.

    A Great Summer Read

This is just the kinda book i was looking for. A fun lighthearted read. There were lots of times i laughed. It also reminded me of the movie "What Happens In Vegas". I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a great beach read.

I would have given this book 3 Stars had it not been so funny. I had to put it down a couple of times because I was laughing so hard my eyes watered.

This was a great read! I loved both Heather and Tony and the way their loved developed. This fast paced, flirty book was just my style. I have always loved every book Jane Graves has written including, Black Ties and Lullabies and Heartstrings and Diamond Rings. She is an excellent author whose humor really blends nicely into the romantic genre, but I can see her style doing well in any genre of writing. She is simply that good. I can't wait to read her next series!

    Really liked

This book and the previous one, "Hot Wheels and High Heels" . I thought they would be typical boring romances. I really loved the characters.

This is a fresh throwback contemporary romance

In Las Vegas, Heather Montgomery and Tony McCaffrey marry after too much champagne. However when they return to their hometown, the prim and proper accountant realizes they are incompatible as she is a workaholic and he is a player. She informs her spouse she will annul their marriage he offers no resistance.----------- When she learns it will take a month, he suggests they live together for the thirty days then they file saying they made a mistake this way she will not suffer local humiliation for her drunken I do. She agrees, but soon their attraction has both seeking compromise. He teaches her to relax and have fun and she shows him how to make his sports bar dream a reality.--------------- This is a fresh throwback contemporary romance between two likable characters. The story line is fast paced from the onset as Tony looks forward to returning to being the playboy of the western world, but his conscience demands he protect from scandal and ridicule the vulnerable Heather. Readers will enjoy their antics of living together for one month as he never cleans his toothbrush while she sterilizes everything. The life planner and the chaotic free faller make for an engaging Texas romance.-------------- Harriet Klausner

    Surprised I liked it.

Granted, more sexual development than relationship development than I cared for but hey, it's a late model romance novel. Liked the characters and enjoyed the dialogue. I laughed too and I never laugh in modern peices.
    Great quick read.

This book was so much better than I expected! I wasn't surprised

This book was so much better than I expected! I wasn't surprised at the ending of the book, but it was well worth to read the journey to it. Both Heather and Tom are great characters and theirs is a truly endearing tale. The book made me laugh out loud, shed a tear or two, and made me not want to put my Nook down. Enjoy!

    Funny and Witty

Loved this book. Funny and witty. Great read if you want light hearted, good times without so much of the inner turmoil angst that comes with most romance novels. Her parents just crack me up, that picture..........oh that was hilarious. Will definitely be buying more from this writer.

    Great vacation read!

I bought this book and saved it for vacation, because it sounded like a good vacation book: light , interesting reading. It is exactly that. If you have a loving dysfunctional family and have been frustrated in the search for Mr. Right, you will love this book!

    Does not compute

This is a romp of a book: it is amusing and offers the requisite sappy-happy ending. However, start to finish, the sum does not tally correctly from the numerals in the equation. First Heather is a goodhearted dateless wonder with the mother from somewhere not nice, then a real witch, then an angel and savior wrapped into one. First Tony is a man getting his dreams together, then a clueless but lovable Mr. Right Now, then a caring man with depth. The book would be better if it were about half as long, with half as many zany elements and more consistency.
